I gave a slightly more extended reply to your comment on my blog post;
I did not call for any hostility - the post outlines things as calmly as can be;
Taking a legal route wouldn't make much sense in this case - e.g. formally parting ways with freelancers and then publicly calling them deserters¹ is technically libel (and I found about the announcement from people sending me screenshots of this message), pursuing charges over a Discord message would be problematic at best;
Ultimately this will have no observable effect on the developer (e.g. Nicalis are doing great no matter how many articles about their unethical practices are published), but will hopefully help future collaborators to pursue a well-defined contract before starting any work.

Hey YellowAfterlife, I have no real issues, Forager is a complete product as far as I'm concerned and the way this exposure of the development process has all been handled is incredibly unbecoming. It should have been handled offline, in private between parties and, if need be - involving lawyers, not in a trial-by-media, mob-justice way through leveling accusations at HopFrog as the hate mob have gathered and the well has been poisoned. Mob justice is not actual justice.
I get that often with creative types, they are incredibly disorganised and lack leadership ability, communication and organisational skills and it's clear that the project was poorly managed by HopFrog, but it really is just the manner of how this was raised more than anything else, which I took major issue with.

It's gross, troubling and reflects poorly on all involved.
