The best combination of Town of Salem and Among Us for FREE. I stream this with as close to a full lobby as I can get once a week and it's always a great time. We love shouting over each other

Very interesting concept that could be really awesome with the right updates. I received a copy of the game for free to play and review. I didn't see until after my short time playing that the game is retailing at $12?! This game COULD be worth that eventually, but I can't recommend in it's current state. Here's some pros and cons for anyone considering this game.

Pro:
- MAGIC WOO
- You can combine pretty much any object with another object to make the perfect item for each customer
- Dialogue options gave me the giggles
- FIRE :D
- Multiplayer (personally didn't use this feature but it exists)
Cons:
- Combining objects can have frustrating/unpredictable results. For example, a customer wanted a potted plant, BUT NOT THAT ONE OVER THERE NO IT HAS TO BE A MAGIC PLANT. I enchanted a plant, combined with a pot, then had to add ANOTHER plant and the customer was still like "What the actual f*** is this???".
- The tutorial doesn't teach you how to handle the actual store and customers, just how to make things and extinguish fires.
- FIRE?! D: Seriously it's such a pain to put out and I don't feel like it actually adds to the game other than to frustrate the player. Oh also you have to type/say the word "extinguish" EVERY time you want to extinguish a fire. I found that I'd extinguish something and while prepping to extinguish another thing, the fire would spread back to where I put it out in the first place.
- No progression system at all. It's just endless helping whiny customers with no reward for your suffering ; _ ;

Super comfy open world game that rewards the playing for exploring. The dialogue for all the characters I've met so far is really well-written. I don't think there's a single character that when they pop up I've responded by telling them to please f off. I literally screamed because of a very FUN event that happens in the game. This game is definitely super comfy, only comfy, and not at all potentially traumatic (: . My only regret is that the kitty pet me first.

Early Access Review
I'm a witch vtuber so of course I was very excited to try this game. Played about 40 minutes, then refunded. I'm so disappointed considering I loved the demo. Navigating the world just SUCKS and wasn't enjoyable to me at all. Definitely not worth $20.

I have mixed feelings about this game after nearly 20 hours of playtime. I like the art style, the different characters you meet, and the fact that it's a good way to spend the first 30 minutes of my morning while I wake up. I played it daily for a little while, until the fetch quests got more difficult to complete in a reasonable amount of time (took me like a week for one of them). After awhile of playing everyday, the gameplay got dull, the items got more difficult to see when I was looking for them (the background is all the same color), and I lost interest in adding anything to my camp. It was fun for a little while, but I just can't recommend this game at it's current pricing. If you still want the game after reading this review, wait for a sale.

I'd like to preface this review by saying that I am not a fan of factory games. A friend of mine tried to get me into Factorio years ago and I just could not. Even modded Minecraft that features tech mods in this style were just too much for me, but this game is different. My husband asked me to play this with him knowing full well that I don't enjoy this genre of game, but I'm so glad he did. We've had so much fun playing this together, working on the milestones and just trying to figure everything out. I do much more of the exploration side and he prefers the actual base building, but that works out perfectly. I don't find the new pieces of tech that we unlock along the way too difficult to understand and I love running around the world looking for power slugs (OOOH SHINY). I'm so glad I gave this game a chance and you should too.

Early Access Review
I've finally hit a couple of the early access blocks in this game 41 hours later. I honestly would've kept playing even longer but I'm taking a pause to wait for new content. I was going through some very dark times when Stardew Valley came out, making that game the perfect escape for me back then. This game hit early access right when I was starting to face some very difficult times ago and it's been so comforting to play. There are so many great characters, a wholesome story, and fun progression that it's so easy to get sucked in for hours at a time. Some notable features that make this game stand out from titles like Stardew Valley or Sunhaven:

1. If you have access to your diary, you can save at any time
2. Juniper is literally perfect in every way and I hope she sees what a good girl I've been for digging up those artifacts for her.
3. Progression in the mines actually has a story.
4. Instead of physically waiting for your ores to smelt, something to be crafted, or cooked, each item ticks time off of your day.
5. I can craft stuff from my storage WAY OVER THERE.
6. Getting rewarded with town reputation for doing quests, selling items, etc is such a good concept that has me actually bothering to complete quests for my ridiculously hot neighbors.
7. Each person you talk to has a SEASONAL OUTFIT AND MY GOD JUNIPER *barks*
8. If I sell a vegetable I've grown there's a chance I wake up tomorrow with a cooking recipe in the mail for that specific vegetable, so I'm not just hoarding things just in case.

Let me start off by saying that the art style and the actual gameplay is quite enjoyable in small doses. There are some pros. There are some cons. I'M SO GOOD AT WRITING REVIEWS.

Pros:
- Cute art style
- Comfy music
- Gameplay that keeps you engaged enough that you ignore the dishes piling up on the desk for a few hours longer than usual.
- The controls are simple but the environmental mechanics allow you to experiment a bit. I enjoyed just interacting with random things to see what would happen.
- It seems like there's more than one way to get through each level, allowing you to problem solve in your own way.
- CATS

Cons:
- The pan over of the map that happens at the start of every level makes me motion sick to the point that I have to close my eyes and whisper sweet nothings to my cat until I think it's safe.
- I don't personally think this is a $25 game, so I'd recommend getting it on sale for ideally at $10 or less.
- When you mess up a jump, it's unclear how far the game will roll the character back and in a lot of cases I found it to be quite punishing.
- My understanding is this is supposed to be a comfy, relaxing game. PLEASE DON'T BUY IT IF YOU WANT TO RELAX. You will forget to blink regularly during levels because you're afraid a car might leave you for dead.
- Ended up rage quitting because the cat and mouse style became very frustrating, so consider playing in small doses.

Was enjoying the game, but got extremely frustrated trying to use a specific item to get around. Would play again after some reworking on the controls. I've seen some other reviews mentioning that everything else the game has going for it make it an enjoyable experience, but the controls really start to weigh everything down. PLEASE FIX THE CONTROLS ; _ ; I'm unable to recommend this game in its current state due to frustrating controls, but I'm hoping the issue will be fixed in the future.
