Seal World is one of the cutest games I've ever played. Everything about it is designed to make the player feel cozy and amused. This is achieved mainly through the goofy interactions between Seal and the other seals inhabiting the world, many of whom become recurring characters throughout the game. These interactions are simple yet highly effective at putting a smile on the player's face. If you're a seal enjoyer, you'll also find the game is packed with references to popular seal memes!

Details like the sound effects greatly contributes to the game's wholesomeness as well. Moving around produces adorable sounds, be it on land or water, and there's even a dedicated button to make seal noises! The player is also sometimes given the option to take a break, rest, or do some stargazing.

The game has three maps: Grass Level, Snow Level and Night Level. Each one, except the starting level, requires a specific amount of fish to enter. This encourages players to explore each area thoroughly before moving on the next one.

The platforming in this game is very easy (with the exception of a single late game segment), which aligns perfectly with its relaxing philosophy. Taking your time to explore the verticality of levels in this way is rather fun.

The controls are generally fine, though I found the camera to be a bit slow in a few occasions.

Yes, this game has cosmetics: hats and faces! They're unlocked by collecting fish, the game's currency, which is scattered around the levels. They're extremely cute, but they're not just for aesthetics; some hats will come in handy with puzzle-solving, and some even unlock unique dialogues with other seals. "Seal Seal" is my favorite hat!

While I really enjoyed this aspect of the game, I wish it had been explored further: the mechanic is introduced late in the game and applies to only a few of the many available hats.

Seal World is a simple, short and cute exploration game full of wholesome interactions and humor. If you want a game that is funny, relaxing, adorable, and full of silly seals, look no further!

They may have forced me to write this review, but with how cute and fun Seal Word is, I really can’t complain. Five stars, trust me!
