Extremely fun from start to finish. If you end up with a group of 30 and all of their arms and legs have been chewed off by Leviathans to be replaced with robotic limbs, you've hit peak Chad.

Compared to the original, this Beamdog special added a huge amount of bugs. Sometimes it was unplayable. Also, instead of being custodians of a game, they decided to change things by hamfisting it into the game. People had no problem with Edwin's polymorph problem or other characters, but Safana was changed just for some self-gratification. They also removed my previous review even though as a customer, it was my right to comment about the bugs and changes of the game.

Early Access Review
Its OK. It takes an army of people to collect resources, running it back and forth between refineries and other buildings so a handful of people on the front lines who are already 100+ hours deep into the can continue throwing themselves into enemy fire and scream for more shirts, b.mats, ammo, and rpg shells, then throw a fit when the FOB runs out of resources and leaves because others also want to join the front lines and fight instead of playing farmville for resources.

Comparable to text-based japanese sim games with a little bit of animation thrown in. It was hyped as an X-COM style game, but turned out to be some linear, boring game. It was then quickly sold as a "tabletop style" game because the work fell on the consumers to fill the game with, well, game.

I hope you enjoy having the surprise of each mission ruined for you due to the stupid "movie-like" intros for each mission. Gameplay is good but ends up repetitive due to the mission/side mission structure. I won't even comment on the story and other game elements, because it would end up turning into an internet fight.

Exploring Motherbase is just tedious and annoying. Nothing like wandering around aimlessly as "gameplay".

This would get a thumbs up, but it is blatantly obvious the game is unfinished. For the budget the game had and time, it should have been completed. That is the problem with MANY developers/studios today - they sell gamers polished turds that are unfinished and just let the gamers fix the majority of problems through mods. They also limit game IPs to force people to buy lower-quality games so less effort and money is put into the development and more money flows to the studio who owns the IP and for the studio to pad reviews with "gifts".
