What a pleasant surprise this little game was. It managed to somehow slip under my radar for a long time but I grabbed it this weekend and beat it in one go. If you're looking for the closest to a classic castlevania game, with very light metroidvania elements and an authentic 8 bit design then you MUST play this.

After the patch still can't get this piece of garbage to run at a steady 60 FPS, on 900p on the absolute lowest settings. I can run GTAV on high, 1080p fine. Witcher 3, I can do medium to high settings, 1080p at steady 60 fps. Ad we had to wait 4 months for this. Needless to say, WB has joined Ubisoft in my personal blacklist. Refund this if you bought it, and if you're thinking of buying, don't. PC Gamers deserve better.

Microtransaction-ridden game. If you don't pay you'll be at a disadvantage because money = stats. Avoid like the plague.

This game is, on the surface, a metroid clone. However the more you play, the more you realize that the developer made sure to give the game its own identity. The game throws quite a few curveballs at the player and remains interesting for most of the playthrough.

The developer has also nailed the controls. They are as perfect as they can be, you never feel you're not in control of your character, or that you died because the game didn't do what you told it to do. My only complain would be that, although the game has an amazing weapon variety, most of the weapons end up not being used much.
