Helldivers 2 is almost exactly the perfect blend of so many different genres but simultaneously unlike anything else, its own unique thing... but to try to describe it, it’s all at once MGSV, Monster Hunter, Gears of War, Deep Rock Galactic, Lost Planet, Destiny, extraction shooter, Warframe with emergent threats, Mass Effect with a reactive galaxy map, MMO w/ cooldown management, with the original tone and design of Helldivers 1. It has some of the best third person gameplay mechanics since MGSV/GZ. It came out of nowhere to blow me away, just like some of my teammates with Orbital Strikes. Just buy it and play it already, it's that good.
