This is by far one of the best in the genre. It's original, fresh, intense, relaxing, and captivating. It's got that "one more round" feel. Excellent excellent game. 10/10 recommend

Nothing like a throwback game to dump 6 hours into with a bag of doritos and a 2 liter of mountain dew like the good old days

Mechanically this game continues to build on its innovative and engaging gameplay. The environments are jaw dropping, the audio is top tier, the visuals are at the upper echelon, and is a TON of fun to play!

You can tell that 95% of the budget spent for this game was on its visual presentation and game mehcanics. Sadly, the story suffers dramatically because of it. The story-line and dialogue are painfully predictable, cringe, and teeth-clenchingly cliche. The dialogue and relationship between Laura and Jonah has taken a huge step backwards and feels forced and lacks authenticity. Sadly, the story I was most interested in was the villain. (no spoilers) The fact I was more excited to do the side quests to learn about the villain's backstory demonstrates how shallow and superficial Laura's story has become. It lacked any form of imagination. The story shifted towards a "batman"-esque orphan story, instead of how the first two games had a great tie between Laura and her father by her picking up the torch of his unsolved mysteries. This game abandons this, and instead creates a very forced and unimaginative tie between Laura's father and the villain.

I want to love this game, so badly, but I just can't overlook the teen-bop adventure narrative that has replaced the rich dynamic back story that pervaded the first two games in this series.

I can't end on a negative, because truly this game is worth playing. As I said, the mechanics are awesome. The stealth is improved, the leveling sequence is more interesting and free flowing, and the game forces you to use different weapon sets which makes engagements difficult and interesting. The tombs are much harder which is awesome (because the first two basically held your hand through the puzzles), the climbing mechanics are upgraded, and there's a lot more fun underwater environments that really mixup the flow in a great way. This is overall a very fun game to play.

TL:DR - This is a phenomenal game with a disappointing predictable narrative.

Sidenote: I was annoyed and distracted that every character model in Paititi was almost identical (especially the children). Why wouldn't you guys build out Paititi as well as you built out the other settlements? Paititi is literally the most important location in the game! Why would you skimp on the models and voice acting for that area?! It doesn't make no sense and took away from an otherwise extremely immersive environment.

Best strategy-focused team shooter bar none. CoD, CSS, Overwatch, none of them close.

Best Couch-Coop fantasy game ever. For $5, can't beat it. Really cool dialogue and lil bit of roleplay if you're down. It uses a cell app so you don't need controllers. Good for beginners, still enjoyable for pros.
