Jank, jank, jank. Still too early to be called a 1.0 unless it was a cashgrab. Current pricing of the game is not even remotely worth it and even if it goes -80%, I still wouldn't recommend this game.
Mouse bugs, UI bugs, god-awful driving model and much more awaits if you won't heed this warning. Screenshots on the store page are really overbaked and do not depict the game's jank in the slightest.
I honestly doubt this game will make a comeback and get patched into something okay-ish, but really wish it would - the premise is pretty good and would be a delight to see done right.

I got this for free and somehow I still want my money back.

This is absolutely unoptimized. Game probably is pretty good, but those half-arsed console ports gotta stop. FPS drops left, right and center with and without a reason to. Even on the lowest (and I mean lowering external stuff too) settings it's still dropping below 30.
Now, I'm not a whiney guy who can't take games that play lower that 120 or 60 FPS, but when your optimization is so bad that it drops below that old standard, you know the game studio didn't care. Not the studio, not the publishers, nobody. I am filing a refund on this.
Such a shame too - the concept, the music, all the stuff was there.

Game itself was my precious baby. I admired every second of it: graphics are stunning, controls aren't that bad and gameplay is interesting with a friend.

Odyssey DLC ruined this beautiful game. I don't own it, so I guess I can't play at all now.
Servers are so bad it physically hurts. HOW did you manage to do it, Frontier? How do you break p2p multiplayer?!

Unpolished, messy, unoptimized game with a dream to be a better R6S.
Disappointment immesurable.
Sound design? Is it a form of modern art on speakers?

Refunding, even though I REALLY wish that this game succeeds in what it sets out to do.

Bad balance, toxic community, bullsh-t spread.
Regret wasting money on it.

Two good things to say here is that the twist is somewhat clever and the location was done pretty damn good.
Now, to the fun part.
Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot of a protagonist (the guy with a tattoo) is downright comedic in his actions. Guards (with an exception of that dwarfen hero) are acting like they're in a trash movie or some amateur porn. I can't name one person who wouldn't laugh at this. That Detective girl must be an absolute genius because she can tell whatever happened just by making a brickface and "Hmm"-ing in the general direction of that club. I get that there is a twist. I don't get why anyone would EVER speak that obvious.
Also yeah, the FMV is short. Like, 20 minutes short. It would be okay if that was a youtube thing, or was cheaper. Quality control is long forgotten on Steam these days.
As it stands, with a -70% discount, I say - get it, BUT only if you want to laugh at bad acting and if you have some money you'd like to throw away. Otherwise - pass it. And certainly refund if bought at full price.

Voice acting in some characters is outright goofy. And not in MGS way. more like old resident evil.
Gameplay is... Well, it's there. But it's no good. Menu seems unintuitive, hacks are interesting, if not too casual.
Coming around the back and stealthkilling is at least there. But it's tedious.
Overall Geist team movement isn't even half tactical. They're simply in diamond formation at all times. Breach, going around the corner, shooting at the target in front of them - all diamond formation.
There are some semi-transparent crosses over the map that can mess your situational awareness - thinking there's a wall when there's nothing. Pre-game flies over the map and shows you 2D sprites on a 3D environment. Something like OG Doom, but somehow looks worse. And that's a shame, as these kinds of games are rare.

Overall not a good experience. Lore, handcrafted avatars and those modifications look nice, customization of gear is lost (it's a stealth unit, you guys just don't get it!).
I will check on this game within a few patches, but as it stands - not worth the price.
And it was such a good premise. Shame it launched like it did.
Get it together, Octeto. You can fix all of that within a month's work. And straighten those diagonal pathfinding lines ffs!

Nicely made game with improvements upon the game before it. Combat is meaty, feels solid and old-school-ey. Music, art design, mechanics - all of it blends together in a great experience that's a 'Must' for any fps genre enthusiast.
There are a few cons here and there, some cheesy lines, but generally it's a great fun. Most of the game can be played either stealthy or guns-a-blazin', which is a plus in my book.
Only thing that thrown me off the game at times is that the protagonist says a lot of "deep" phrases in such a tone that's unsuitable for a game of this octane.

Is he depressed? Is he a soldier with nothing to lose? Is he a little wimp trapped in a body, that most people wouldn't dream to have? YES.
It feels like Blazko is a depressed teenager on steroids, when he should really be the badass, the scariest thing a nazi could encounter, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ relative of doomguy. However, it doesn't favor the situations where he needs to express some emotions. Whenever a fellow soldier dies, you something from Blazko, but he's DEAD INSIDE. I get it, PTSD does that to you, but jeez...
