10/10 would democracy again

Almost every game I bought over the past few years has been disappointing and something I play a few hours, if that, and then I never play it again. Roboquest is the exception.

In singleplayer it is a fun game, but nothing to write home about, but co-op, it is a whole other experience. The varied difficulties allows it to be a hardcore rush with your buddy or something chill to play with your buddy while you talk and hang out. The progression through a run is very satisfying and when you finally build out your bot just the way you want and it absolutely destroys everything, that is a super rewarding experience.

If you want a super fun co-op rogue-like game, this is the game.

If you enjoyed the original game, this will be a mediocre followup. If you never played the first game, this will be a mediocre game. While there are a lot of cool new mechanics introduced in this game over the previous, the big area that is lacking is content. Once you figure out what is going on, and especially once you get guns, the game becomes almost trivial, where you are just completing steps to get to the ending, not to experience a story. Unless you really want to know what happens next, I would recommend just replaying the first game as you have likely forgotten it's story by now anyways.

If you like Dark Souls you need to get this, honestly who that enjoys Dark Souls hasn't bought this by now?

If you like Breath of the Wild and are a sadomasochist, this is also the game for you.

One of the best early access games I have ever played. Also just a ton of fun. Super punishing but in a good way. Not like a Tarkov I just died because I didn't spend 800 hours in game to get the special gun and ammo that's currently meta sort of way.

This game is currently getting a lot of hate so I thought I would offer an alternative perspective.

Is the game buggy and glitchy and a poor performer? Yes. But is this a new thing for the franchise? No.

Battlefield 4 and 3 had some of the worst releases ever. So many bugs, so many glitches. I bought BF4 at launch and it was unplayable.

This isn't excusing the buggy mess, but let's look at the core gameplay.

Gunplay: Some of the best I have seen in the franchise. Guns feel good to use. Only issue is the coning at range. Dice has said they would address this so we shall see.

Squadplay: Not so good. The new operator system seems to have promoted some pretty selfish gameplay. Combinded with you basically being able to run any kit you want makes having teammates kinda useless when you can have a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher, or really any combination.

Hazard Zone: Honestly a lot more fun that people make it out to be. It has the risk reward of Tarkov without the punishingly retarded gameplay. That combined with the interesting take on a battle-royal, with time limited extractions vs a circle and being the last players standing makes it a fun time. Biggest gripe with it right now is the forced 4 man squads and the forced randoms. They need to add duos and the ability to not que with randoms.

Portal: This will be the future of the game. Not because the main game is bad but because a game can only have so much at the end of the day. But with Portal, there are endless possbilities and it is left up to the community. I have loved replaying my favorite rush maps from Bad Company 2 or revisiting classic conquest from BF3.

Overall it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. The real problem with this game is that it was hyped up as the second coming and in reality it's just another first person shooter. If you enjoy large scale chaos and first person shooters or if you loved old Battlefields and making custom wacky gamemodes/servers this may be the game for you.

Coming from someone who never played a Telltale game before I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting not more than an interactive movie but it a whole lot more than that. The game tells an interesting and unique Batman story in which your choices actually matter and you feel your affect on the world.

If you like Batman this is a game to get, if not but you like good story telling, this is still a great game for you.

It's Skyrim but newer

For a game that is 10 years old, it surprisingly holds up for a free to play game. It isn't the best graphics compared to modern games but if you normally don't like MMOs and you like Superhero style games, this may be the game for you.
