F2P friendly and more Persona than mobile game! This has the true heart and soul of a Persona 5 game. The cast and cadence of the story are fantastic and the amount of content is astounding. Definitely worth trying even if you've never played a Persona game and have no idea what to expect. Tons of story but no english voice acting as of this review, likely won't ever be.

Subway Slammer is peak villain. No contest. Bro is pure evil.

This game has no right being as good as it is.

The trailer does NOT do this game justice! The Genesis Order absolutely took me by surprise with it's story, grammar, and characters. I bought this for the same reason you did, let's be real, but quickly I was immersed in the story and the characters with gameplay good enough to keep me engaged. I know some people in the reviews are calling it bad but it's likely due to the engine they made it in. I do wish it had better options for resolution and played nicer with Steam overlay but if you just ignore that it's completely fine.

The gameplay consists of you, a detective, running around town making connections with people and finding objects that will help at any point in the story. You combine objects to be able to progress in the game at different intervals and find more artifacts to sell and make more money faster. As the game progresses, you are able to go through the gameplay loop faster and faster with a lot less downtime between tasks which was a very welcome surprise.

The audio design and music of the game didn't grab me at first but overall the music is really atmospheric! The sounds of the game are pleasing to the ear but in certain scenes of the game the character lines loop a bit annoyingly but it's really not a big deal. The voice acting is genuinely good which surprised me, though the game doesn't have much voice acting at all.

The writing in The Genesis Order is CRAZY GOOD! No one character's story goes untold and there are no loose ends by the end of the game from what I can tell. I cannot tell you how many times I had laughed so hard I started coughing. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥(s) who wrote the script have a fantastic sense of humor. The unforced dialogue with characters actually has some depth and effort put in and you get a bit more from the characters involved if you actually go out of your way to interact with them instead of just progressing the game. I think I only saw one punctual error in the game and that's just me being picky about there not being a comma where one should've been. I notice those things too much. Potentially hypocritical of me haha.

The visuals are genuinely great! The trailer does show off the visuals but not to the extent that they are. There are so many rooms and backdrops in the game that I didn't even get to explore all of them before beating it!

The controls are actually very generous. There's 4 ways I found you can play this game without issue. First being standard arrow keys and spacebar/enter. Second would be the keypad, third a controller, and lastly just the mouse which I used a lot because it makes it much easier to find secrets in walls and interactable objects.

This game took me (43 hours according to steam and 82 hours according to in game save file) what felt like a full 60 hours to complete. Was it worth it? YES! Absolutely! I was engaged the entire time I was playing this game. I loved every moment of it. Even the parts that had me a little bit lost had me actually putting in effort to figure out what to do.

There is even post game content I have yet to experience! It just keeps going!!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!

Also Heather, Hannah, Erica, Carol, Melissa, in that order. B)

"she has the body of a woman but the personality of a man" Bruh some gay virgin wrote this trash. Worst writing ever. No proofreading so there are typos and an insane amount of pointless inner monologing. I skipped through the rest past Chapter 3 and saw a lot of repeat scenes. Not at all worth the asking price. If you want a good game go get The Genesis Order.

Very fun but SEVERELY unbalanced! Avatar Project insta-loss mechanic is dogwater. Enemies are way too strong even on normal mode. How am I expected to progress if I'm rushed in 3 different ways to do missions I have no time to prepare for?!
