Still a timeless masterpiece, aside from the horrible reg

The game offers a great multiplayer experience with a somewhat decent skill ceiling, it can be very fun alone or with friends and offers a great range of content to try out.

The campaign is okay, it shouldn't be viewed from the lens of old CoD campaigns where the story sticks with you, though. The game is more or so a tale of friendship between you and your not so organic companion and having something to prove (which I won't spoil if you're willing to buy the game (even though it's somewhat old)

I would still very much recommend the experience if you're going to pick up the game after this much time, it's an enjoyable experience.

Originally I wrote this review a long time ago, I wrote about the earliest issues of the game, but given it's outdated I'll write about the core negatives of this gameplay:

The game released unfinished and in season 1 it still is the case, core features from other CoDs like barracks, challenges to unlock emblems and calling cards are missing, very few maps at launch and most importantly the game is poorly optimized, given by the constant crashes, steam disconnects taking you out of the game.

The game also features outrageous monetization, before the live service games if you wanted to spend your $15/20 you could spend it on a map pack, now you spend it on a (mid at best) item in the shop.

It's a decent game by CoD standards (which isn't saying a lot) but it's really not worth it when you're expecting a quality product, to put more insult to injury, prior to the release of the game they couldn't stop hyping the game saying stuff like: "It's the most advanced CoD ever" and telling the fanbase that 3000 devs made the game... 3 uninterrupted years for such a steaming pile of buggy garbage.

Despite what many people say about this game, its dated nature doesn't make it a bad game at all, the combat is fine, you just have to master it
