The game is plagued by an unbalanced economy with a focus on pay-to-win mechanics. Arma is like a base engine that you can build on top of. I'm not a huge fan of the vanilla content, but the fantastic scripting framework and mission editor in addition to the sprawling modding community makes it a joy to play.
