For the most part, its a long boring grind.

Not at first.

But after you burn through the missions, see most of the arcade levels, and the novelty of PvP wears off, it is all you are left with, and in my opinion, this process happens fairly quick.

Unless you are looking for a boring grind with a learning curve, you probably should not play this game, you can pay to skip the grind, but seeing as the grind is 80% of the game it will only make the content end faster. At the time of posting, the community is pretty much dead, and still dying, the in-game economy isnt looking so good either.

Personally i plan to continue to play, its a decent way to burn some time, but its definitly not for everyone.

Okay listen, i like Spiral Knights, and i like Operation Crimson Hammer, but i can't recommend this for purchase.

You are paying 6 dollars ($5.99 at the time of writing) for one new mission.

It consists of 6 floors, with 3 new items as rewards (with 2 additonal downgraded versions for each new item).

Most people will end up running this new mission maybe 3 times to get all the rewards, 9 if you want the downgraded versions, and never touch it again.

Alternatively you can simply play the regular game and purchase the expansion with common game currency: Approximately 288.000 "crowns" as of writing, which to me is not very difficult to aquire, maybe a weeks worth of casual play.

All im saying is that as for "Is this worth 6 dollars"? Its debateable. Is this worth it to me personally? No.

Don't let me stop you if this sounds like a good deal to you.
