Team Fortress 2 is a timeless masterpiece. I started playing this game just two years ago and already have 2400 hours. I've never had more fun experiencing any video game in my life. Even after playing for so long, there is still so much more to this game I've yet to master or even get mildly good at, I can see myself playing this for years to come. (as long as the devs keep updating it every once in a while.)

TF2 keeps it simple, in the great words of Reggie, if it's not fun, why bother? TF2 at it's core is so much fun to play simply because the gameplay is so interesting. The different types of weapons combined with the many different ways of increasing your mobility makes every fight fun even if you lost. There aren't many times where I've died and blamed it on the game (besides dying to random crits.) Every time I know exactly how I could improve and try to apply that in my next life. TF2 is a game you can improve at forever and still have much more to learn. It never gets stale because you reached a skill cap because the skill cap is almost nonexistant.

TF2 has it's problems though, some weapons and classes are less fun to play. The Heavy still needs a huge overhaul to even be playable in some circumstances. It can be hard for new players to get into the game because there are people just so much better than them in every game. If you can push past the many, many, many deaths in the beginning and feel yourself improve, the joy you get from getting better is 100% worth it in the end.

The way I see it, the dev team is obviously working and as long as they haven't completely abandoned the game, it's likely to continue living on for many many years to come.

I would recommend this game to everyone on planet earth. Everyone deserves to try Team Fortress 2.
