You're in the theatre, enjoying a tub of popcorn as you watch "Ready Player One".
Suddenly a figure encompassed the screen. A familiar tune starts to play.
You notice this figure is oddly similar to-
Wait! No! It can't be possible!
A bead of sweat forms over your brow as you come to the realization.
It's Him.
Sans.
Eye glowing bright blue, looking beyond the screen, staring directly in your soul.
Sans opens his jaw, as if he is about to say something.
Everyone sitting in the room leans in closer to hear.
"H"
Everyone in the room is now in hysterics . The laughter is so loud it's almost deafening.
Everyone is tearing themselves apart and you are merely the spectator.
Hours pass as you witness the horrific scene, until suddenly, the movie curtain closes.
The movie is over.
You walk out the theatre and think.
"Wow! Epic Movie! This was truly an epic win for gamers!"

This is one of my favourite film's and I'd honestly consider Fire Walk With Me to be a masterpiece. Sheryl Lee gives one of the most intense and heartbreaking performances in all of cinema. The way she conveys terror and helplessness feels so real that it doesn't feel like she's acting. I can understand people not liking the film but the fact her performance got overlooked by award shows at the time is proof that often the best performances get overlooked for awards attention. The film contains many unforgettable sequences such as the Pink Room, David Bowie's cameo and the last 20 minutes which depict Laura Palmer's murder. The ending is so emotionally powerful that if Twin Peaks ended with that I would've been satisfied. The score by Angelo Badalamenti is haunting and beautiful sometimes at the same time. For my money it's his best ever score. I'd reccomend watching Fire Walk With Me after finishing the first two seasons of Twin Peaks but watch it before The Return.

How do you write a character theme for someone with two identities?

This brilliant track switches between counting 3rds to 4ths as if it was two songs, each one representing different selves, but not only that, it had the BALLS to stack a 3rds melody on TOP of a 4th drum beat at the beginning. I can't even imagine what that thought process was like.

Are you familiar with the thought experiment, ‘The Ship of Theseus?’ in the field of identity metaphysics?
I thought not. It’s not a story Hayward would tell you. It’s a thought experiment. The "Ship of Theseus" was the ship of Theseus, so powerful and so wise it could use its 30 oars to influence the water to make way… It had such a buoyancy that it could even keep the ones it cared about from dying. The art of sailing and floating is a pathway to many destinations some consider to be unnatural. It became so powerful… the only thing the ship was afraid of was decaying and being replaced, which eventually, of course, it did. Unfortunately, its planks of wood rotted over time, and then they were replaced with new planks. Ironic. The ship could keep others from death, but not itself.
