Just no, don't pick up this game if you want to play a game like payday.

This game in every way is inferior to payday 2.
Payday 2 is cheaper, higher quality, has more content, more love and a great modding community with custom heists and total conversion mods to allow even og payday fans experience more but this... this is just a sad joke.
I picked it up hoping a nice experience for the price it's asking and I came out disappointed.

Bad AI, dumb heist and game design, heavy movement and such making me feel like I am playing as Bonnie if she had 5 burgers for breakfast and just a joke of voice acting making it clear they just read the lines for the paycheck.

You want a payday experience? Buy payday 2.
You want a paday 2 sequal? Wait until they finally fix payday 3 in like a year and such and even now I would say payday 3 is even superior to this as everything about that game feels better than this but lacks content.



Stop glazing over this game just cuz payday 3 came out awfully it's clear a lot of positive reviews exist due to payday 3 situation and it is also clear that the reason they ported this game to steam was cuz of payday 3 situation hell even the trailer announcing this made fun of some payday 3 issues.

While I can't say it's worth right now but with recent devlog it was confirmed that they are going to change EVERYTHING people complain about to make the game better, I highly recommend keeping an eye on this game and waiting for these changes to drop once they do game will be worth grabbing and trying out until then just don't buy the game yet or you can if you want to have it before these changes come in effect.

The game is pretty fun (at the start) I like the premise and the built up but by the end it dropped quality by a lot also DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IN COOP. It's clear by amount of bugs both game breaking and visual ones and a lot of questionable gameplay moments the game was not made for coop and had it slapped on top of it just for the sake of it having it.

Pros:
- cool idea that to some extend was executed well
- really good visual design for levels and bosses, people in charge of art design did an incredible job

Cons:
- it's really buggy and not the fun kind of buggy. Anything from audio cutting off or silly ragdolls to your bullets not even going where your reticle is aiming making later fights incredibly annoying.
- way too repetitive gameplay by the half way of the game you saw all the game has to offer and you'll just get the mini boss enemies over and over again just in bigger numbers.
- ehh story, I know story is a thing that some may enjoy and others hate but it was kinda ehh, felt weird and had way too many plot twists visible way before the reveal also a lot of characters would randomly appear and disappear from the story making it hard to get attached to them.

Overall I would rate it 4/10, it has some potential and it at least getting the bug fixes would help a lot in making it more enjoyable but in the state it is now I must say I can't recommend playing this game especially not in coop where it really shows how rushed the game was.

Really cool game, truly showing the life of a schizophrenic person who suffers from lack of friends and partners seeks comfort in a bucket.

I would say it's the best game of the world but wish I could have roleplayed as someone like Fred or Jack not Jim, I don't like name Jim, every single Jim deserves to be imprisoned for life for commiting inhumane crime of being Jim.

- A crap ton of new characters and items
- A brand new fun map with cool events that grand u free big boxes

Cons:
- No steam achievements (at least not at the moment of writing this)
