Elden Ring is a very good game that not only deserves game of the year but is easily a candidate for game of the decade.

Amazing gameplay, fascinating story, tons to explore, beautiful world, interesting characters.
The open world is gigantic and beautiful. While the graphics aren’t top tier, I still think it’s mostly irrelevant because Elden Ring looks so majestic artistically that it compensates for the lack of visual fidelitely in spades.
The exploration feels great thanks to our trusty spectral steed Torrent, which to my big surprise has pretty fluid controls.
Bosses difficulty is a very controversial and touchy subject, but: I think some bosses do have some “unfair” attacks so to speak, but I personally never felt that it was a problem.
Elden Ring is a heavily combat-focus, and high punishing game. Of course there are story, lore, etc but that's not what people come to Elden Ring for.

I believe this is a game that everyone should own!
