Spec Ops is one of the best shooters you'll ever play. Don't get me wrong, the third person gameplay is mediocre at best. But the atmosphere, the plot, and the introspection makes this the pinnacle of the modern gaming industry.

The plot is very well written, with great voice actors. And it's a far cry from the generic 'Kill all the bad guys' you'll find in every other shooter out there. It does an amazing job of forcing you to question your actions, your character's actions, and the direction video games take as a whole.

It's a travesty this game didn't do better in sales or mindshare. So it's understandable if you've never heard of it. But you owe it to yourself to play this magnificant game.
