Too many skill issues in these reviews

What a hyped up chapter, when it was first playable in the PTB everyone fell in love, the power needed some adjusting from being too weak but everything else hit right. The model looked stunning, the animations were both unique and cool and he had voicelines that the community fell in love with (even if the joke got old fast). However when it came to the live release, his power was tweaked a little (in a good way) and the voicelines were removed with no explanation. Time passes and everyone moves on without much fuss.
Until recently when it was revealed that BHVR had worked with and supported the sale of NFTs, a scam product that holds little to no value and actively damages the environment. All for some easy money. A part of me hopes that BHVR wasn't 100% complicit in this and their hand was forced by Park Avenue. But until we learn more I can not endorse this product and while it's too late for me and many others. but if you have not purchased this DLC; then I highly recommend you don't not until the air is cleared, BHVR denounces the NFT's or if Clive Barker takes action once he gains the license to the Hellraiser franchise.

I don't write reviews, most I've seen articulate my feeling well enough. But I believe this needs to be said as I have seen barely anyone mention it; 90%-95% of the game requires an online connection to fully use. The online multiplayer fights & towers of time understandably require a internet connection to use. However I can't fathom why the gear/variation system, coins/currency, rewards, The Klassic Towers & The Krypt (also: why is the Krypt randomised) needs a connection to a server to use. It wouldn't be an issue if I could even connect to the MK11 servers in the first place. The Micro-transaction aspect is very predatory & is a worse version of the "source-crystals" from Injustice 2.

A few more issues I've had is; crashing on the customisation menu, I set my game to the lowest quality to start with to see how it preforms (which is quite well) but it still crashed on multiple occasions. I can't speak about the "grind" (which I was willing to overlook going into the game) as I never was able to experience it (due to the server issue). The menus for me are a bit more awkward to navigate (compares to previous NRS games)

A few positives which give me a bit of hope in the future is the core game is well polished & the base roster is one of the best. The in-game animation has improved quite a bit over MKX. The sound design (music & effects) are really well done. The visuals have improved (graphically & in general art direction). The tutorials have taken a page from Injustice 2 and have been substantially improved from MKX (which even includes individual charcter tutorials) The character design is amazing (especially the new-comers); & the story mode (despite plot flaws) was fun (to watch/play the first 4 chapters of) & really well presented)

I may retract & re-review the game should there be sufficient changes to the issues previously addressed (especially the horrible reliance on a stable internet connection to even access the majority of the game). Thanks for reading & hope you have a pleasant day.

Edit: I'm also a bit salty about Cyrax & Sektor not being playable; their re-designs are amazing but they're also just a asset dump from Triborg.
