Started as a random mercenary looking for work. Found myself a lovely lowborn wife. And started a family with her. Which resulted in three children.

Sadly she was not for this earth and had died choking in her sleep. To recover from this loss I fell in the hands of a young lady who would proceed to bear me 12 children.

Sadly shortly after our 12th child was born. Smallpox would hit our camp near the city of Rijeka and we lost 5 of of my 15 children and my beloved wife.

This pain from such a great loss lead me to take upon more mercenary jobs to earn enough money to keep the food flowing in our little camp.

One of said jobs was to crush a small peasant uprising in the Duchy of Slavonia in their county of Vrbas. Upon reaching said settlement. We would see that the peasants there were in fact being mistreated.

They asked me to help them and so I did. Turning against my employer and taking my men to besiege the City of Zagreb.

As we won the war. The Peasants declared me the Duke of Free Lower Bosnia with the castle of Banja Luka serving as my new home.

40 years since. My son sits on the throne of Croatia. Rules from the great city of Zagreb. While my sons control the majority of the Doucheys in the country.

10/10 DLC.

Original Review :

This should not be called Football Manager 2023. This is Football Manager 2021.8. That is it. I usually place around 1000 to 3000 hours per FM game.

Last years version saw very very few changes from FM21 so I recorded barely 400 hours on it. This years game? I mean...its more polished? Whoope!

So lets start with the good.


GOOD :

Supporters vision : Fantastic addition I actually really like it worthy of being called "a new Feature"
Smooth gameplay : Looks and plays smoother then last year
Manager face graphics : Looks way better and it was actually improved
New Animations : They look great! Players can dance now!

BAD :

Set Pieces : Not been touched in close to 10 years. No additions same crap, and they are so often exploited in tactics because of how ancient they are.

International Management : You are releasing a game in the same month as there is a World Cup...how can you not use this opportunity to make something great...unreal!

Tactics : You changed the names of few things so it looks news. BRAVO! Same thing as it has been for years.

Graphics: LMA Manager 2007 looks better than this game. I understand you don't want to make the game too graphically taxing but you have low, medium, high, and ultra settings. Use it properly!!

Sound : Sound has not been updated in 20 years. It's awful, generic, and boring. Not to mention the sound slider does not work properly at best of times.

Draw changes : I am sorry...WHO ASKED FOR THIS ?!?! It just looks sorry but stupid! You changed the wrong things! Draws were fine. You did not need to make them extra special...even then now it's just clunky and confusing at best.

Manager Pathway: Again. WHO ASKED FOR THIS?! HOW CAN THIS BE LAUDED AS A HEADLINE FEATURE? You should have added a feature where you can mold your character's history like what clubs did he play for? Why he retired and became a manager? We are not asking you to go the FIFA Manager route and give your entire life and stuff. We want new stuff that can be as simple as your manager's history.

Whoever greenlit releasing the game like this. With barely any changes. Knowing people will buy it in drowes should be SACKED. This is unacceptable. I have given you a pass for the last two years due to COVID.

I thought better of your Sports Interactive. I am truly disappointed.

Absolutely LOVE the game. As someone who has hundreds of hours on CK2 I think this game is a massive improvement. The AI is fantastic compared to CK2 where it bearly attacked. Here early game I did not feel safe at all. At one point having to reload because I was being attacked so hard I did not know where my head or my tail was.

For a game that is just out in my 5 hours I played since downloading I encountered exactly 0 bugs.

If you loved CK2 you will love CK3. Must buy.

in all seriousness Crusader Kings 2 is one of if not the best video games I have ever played in my life. There is so much to do. And you can get it for free! Yes DLCs are a little bit expensive but are worth it.

This is a MUST own game if you love RPGs and Strategy games.

Do not buy Football Manager 2018 for Multiplayer.


As someone who has played FM games for years and have been streaming FM on my twitch channel for about a year now I can openly say that Sports Interactive is by far the worst studio in the world when it comes to multiplayer games.

Here is a small list of bugs and how long they have been in the game

1.Freezes when playing another human and that human tries to make changes at the same time as you - since 2013 yet to be fixed

2.Results changing - Fixed after 5 months

3.Game buging out forcing you to crash it becuse you cant save it losing hours of gameplay - not fixed

4.Not adding any features (I am not counting giving ability to block importing of tactics as a "feature") that would improve multiplayer such as moving from game to game without having to holoday it every time like they do for drafts would make my job hell of alot easyer as I am runing a 9 man network save on twitch.

5.Stability improvments crashes galore when it comes to network saves.

6.inept developers who blame everything on costom skins. "OH TIMER IS NOT WORKING ?? IS EVERYONE USING DEFAULT SKIN" ? Please its 2018 get on with a program.

7. Transfers/loans buging out of no where taking way to long time to go trough sometimes 3 weeks up to 2 months (I am not joking)

8.(not a bug but general complaint) taking away modding from the fans. Regens look awful and what do you do ?? Prevent modders from fixing them. Modders want to make cool databases like the "Behind Iron curtain" for FM16 what do you do ?? Block some esential stuff in the editor.

I love FM and I will buy it each year mostly becuse there is no competition in this line of games. But FM needs kick up the a** asap. This years game has been by far -THE WORST- FM in years. And that is saying somthing. SI needs to get on with times they know they have a huge fan base of Network saves just today !!! I saw 10 streams on twitch all dedicated to Network saves but SI do not care about it. If you are a FM fan do not buy this game avoid it like a plague go play FM17 you wont miss anything
