It's a good game, when it chooses to be. Year 1 with Red War was great, i wish new lights could experience that these days. But Bungo has to go and vault it, i hate that exists but i kind of understand why. The game wasn't built to last as long as it is and it surely couldn't handle the influx of new lights showing up, so downsizing was needed for the game to not completely break. All in all if Red War came back the game would be better than it is now, i mean yea into the light is cool and stuff but i want to banish Dominus Ghaul to the shadow realm with my spoopy green boi powers.

Personally the game isn't all that bad, the only downside is that it was discontinued on Xbox due to in Frontiers terms "hard to make Odyssey work with the hardware". But we all know that next gen systems like the Series X|S could very well handle the complexity of Odyssey, I see that reason being an excuse for not wanting to continue the game on another platform and leave it solely a PC only game most likely how they wanted it to be in the first place I reckon. However Frontier is trying to make up for that by "adding more ships" whenever that will end up being, they better be some good ships if you had to convert the Xbox version to a legacy version with a lack of content and a lack of anything fun to do. Now I will admit I'm not expert when it comes to game design and the complications of keeping a PC and console version up to date with one another so don't take anything I said about the simplicity of making Odyssey a Series X|S exclusive, I mean I'd like for that to be the case because being able to play the game on just my Xbox alone and not having to rely on Nvidia Geforce Now to play it on Microsoft Edge would be rather nice. Anyway this review is quite lengthy so I'm going to wrap it up here, Odyssey is fun, I enjoy it. Horizons was a little on the meh side since I really only played it on console when it was still somewhat active, walking around a station is neat, the shuttles are neat too. Speaking of the shuttles at the time of writing this review I'm taking one to Hutton Orbital for my free mug, can't go wrong with the mug.

Now to my rating, I personally give the game an 8.9 out of 10
Once the other ships get released (whenever that will be) I'll change my rating based on those ships, let's hope it goes and not down.
