I'd give this a thumbs up and down at the same time if I could.

This is by far the best cod game in the last ten years, the one that revitalized the franchise for a lot of people. At launch, it was one of the best fps games out there, multiplayer wise. Having put hundreds of hours during some of the best nights of my life back in 2020.

Then Warzone came out.

This game is what brought about warzone, for some, it was a fresh take on a battle royale. For others, it severely damaged the game as a whole. It killed the character design, the weapon design, the overall aesthetic of the game. It went from more realistic than almost any other cod game to fortnite in a matter of weeks. The tracer packs, the ridiculous crossovers, all of it.

Without any of that, the series was headed for a more serious, topical vibe. In this campaign you literally watch a man shoot a child and hours later you have HIS child at gunpoint. Then the next two in the series did away with all of it. No more grit, no more blurred lines between good and the bad. No more balls for the series and they're back to playing it safe again.
I've lost hope for this franchise, but this is the game that gave me that hope back in the first place.

Having 1300 hours in Arma 3, I expected more of the same with minor graphic and stability improvements. Each time I've run this game, modded or vanilla, it's surprised me. Between the insane lighting, the soundscape, AI, and frame rates I get on a very mid tier PC, I'm excited for Arma 4.

I have two complaints though, and only one is directly from BI.

The "Workshop" system in the game is pretty bad. Having to be connected to the BI servers to run any of your mods is wack, though that stems from the console crossplay requiring a non-steam workshop. Still, wack.

The second is the idiots review bombing because they don't understand that BI has been getting DDOS'd for over a week now. It's not the servers just being bad, someone is intentionally doing this. Leaving a poor review because of the actions of a russian isn't right

Choose ♥♥♥♥ optimization or ♥♥♥♥ servers. I have no idea how you made BOTH worse but congratulations, y'all managed to do both and got a free garbage cookie cutter UI.

This is the best and worst game I own

I've always been a huge halo fan but my god the playerbase on this game is sweaty, I wanna enjoy multiplayer. Also no matter why, if you leave ONE mp match, even if your game crashes, you get banned for a minute, and any game after that it stacks more and more time. Even if it's because you timed out. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
