Ballin' game. I consider this an absolutely BALLIN' game

Legendarily crusted game, but it really has some sensational art direction. the lighting and modeling for the environments are great; felt super high budget and like it was from a huge team.
The developers will have to correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the majority of this game was made by one guy; Nathan Seedhouse. at least that's what the credits say. Even if this was just a small team it would be impressive. It's really quite pretty.
There would be some moments where it was so cheesy and generic you couldn't help but laugh, but there were some areas with no music and sheer ambiance that were pretty disturbing. I'll admit; the hotel got to me. The tight corridors work really well with the enemies there and the place felt unnerving.
The story was a bit hard to follow but I feel like I got the gist. Cool setting, but it feels campy at times.
The combat was the weak point because it made me laugh so many times (then it was good for something). you click left and right mouse a hundred times and then you utterly blend up the enemy in front of you. The poor soul ragdolls out and the horror tension gets really relieved. Areas like the Ministry of Truth really shine because it takes away a lot of combat agency. I like those non-combat horror sections, because from the point you fight the first enemy on, hitting a guy with a hammer super fast feels silly.
The special weapons you can find are neat. Also the secret bosses. I liked exploring the woods area past the park, since it's such a change of pace.
This game was very much its own thing. I hope Nathan Seedhouse and his compatriots make more. I think the game deserves the mixed reviews, because not everyone enjoys such a buggy game. But give it a try if you want something funny and a little spooky! In the next game, I hope they make those tiny levers easier to see. Bravo!

First day of playing has been really promising! Has some genuine horror in it and an equal amount of funny times with friends.
I am excited to see what awaits for the continuation of the game's development!
