I'll start by saying Dragon age games have always been progressive in the worlds Ideologies (you could be gay in the game before gay marriage was even legal none of that has been an issue for me with this game). I've been playing dragon age since Da:O came out i was maybe 15 at the time, and i immediately fell in love with the story and world and the companions,
The stakes the story gave made me invested in the games world and the choices i made, building up the allies for the landsmeet, and (if you where a human) vying for the throne with Alister or Anora was enough to make me giddy and have multiple upon multiple play throughs to experience every which way the story could have gone.
DA2 while it changed away form Origins in a pretty extreme way, i really enjoyed it, Fenris and Merril where among my favourite companions to date. The Qunari being able to be shown how they always where meant to be was Awe inspiring i was scared of the Arashok and at the same time Intrigued by them as a race and culture, again the story and companions made me play through several times to learn all the possibilities.

Dragon age Inquisition was a good balance of the two previous games, taking into account serious events from Origins and 2, your Hero felt like a heroes journey you a nobody sent to watch the Divine summit witness an explosion that marks you and starts the events of the story, after the prologue part of the game , we are shown our people fleeing with us towards this fabled keep, and we are giving one of the most heart jerking songs and i still to this day (30 years old now) tear up hearing it sung, The dawn will come is something that sticks with me now years after the games release,

This new dragon age.. it feels wrong to even call it Dragon age, has NONE of the above care put into it , outside of beautiful environments the game is hollow the companions forgettable and that hurts to say I loved Harding in DAI i was sad she wasn't one of the companions or romance options.
So far None of the companions I've met make me feel invested in them, none of the factions make me want to support them. I chose to romance Solas my second play through as an Elf inquisitor, and was heavily invested in that story. and in Veilguard they've made me just want to get it over with. i was falling asleep playing i had to open a twitch stream to keep me awake while i chugged through parts of the first act.

IF you love dragon age you might agree or disagree with me, or you might love this but It wasn't for me. Pick it up on sale if you must play it , I'll finish it , I love this universe and i want to see how Bioware finishes off this legacy, but I feel Veilguard is just the Andromeda of The Dragon age franchise, ( btw i did enjoy Andromeda probably more so than i'm enjoying this).

I have to say i had really high hopes for this game and that Nexon would just sit the ♥♥♥♥ back and let this game be good without being predatory like nexon always is.
i will say i have fun playing this will i still play it maybe we will see. I have to preface this by saying i played the last beta and ive played this day one of launch and im disappointed the monetisation is predatory as hell and the beta had none of this ♥♥♥♥ ( no ♥♥♥♥ right why would you in your beta) but the fact is in the beta you could change your default skins appearance just like warframe after unlocking the palette in the full launch you can only dye/colour skins and the dyes are a 1 time use consumable that costs REAL money to rebuy at 25 Caliber ( its 7.54 AUD for 250 Caliber) honestly really disapointing it took the route of charge money for everything rather than doing the warframe approach.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IN ITS CURRENT STATE

A mate of mine bought us an unoffical server to play on we can not progress past level 8 since buying a server only gave us 1 region the free port... freeport is level capped at 8 to explore we need to "Set Sail" for a new waters except 1 problem new waters done exsist without a shard server! we would need a cluster of 25 to have any real map to explore.!!

This game..., Well i can only say that, I whole heartily recommend it, the amount of emotions this story puts you through, its frankly quite amazing, and well worth the money i've put into it. 10/10 not disapointed with Life is Strange, i put it up there with Games like the last of us, and any Telltale game.

OKAY FIRSTLY PLEASE IGNORE THOSE IGNORANT ♥♥♥♥♥ ABOVE OR BELOW ABOUT 2K

yes its expensive in aus/nz i payed 140 for the moster race edition and you know what it was worth it.
The games fun and replayable solo is great fun the mulitplayer is intense, while i do Dc 1 out of maybe 15-20 matches its minor so what i lose progression big deal i can just rush it in solo DLC comes with any pack with season pass and in honesty its not bad the 4th and 5th monster plus the new hunters to be released soon is good vaule most of these bad reviews are from alpha and beta testers the finally release was great monster is loads of fun and hunter brings a tricky dynamic play style
