It's the story of 15 friends who wanted to make a revolutionary game in the video game industry.
The announcement and launch of their game caused quite a stir, both positive and negative.
Thus began the odyssey of No Man's Sky and its adventure of continuous improvement.
The story of the game is in itself a kind of allegory of what the developers are going through, a sense of ceaseless improvement of a game with a broken origin.
But, as in the myth of Theseus' ship, by dint of improving the game, they ended up redoing the whole thing, to the point where we have a new graphics engine, planet generation, space colony management, etc...
We're on to a whole new game, and that's why I'd like to thank Hello Games for creating this indie nugget.
Imperfection is perfection.

Still not working after 1.0 release.

Multiplayer is not working due to BattlEye AntiCheat (previously used Easy AntiCheat).
This game cannot be uninstalled (except by manually delete the files) on Steam Deck and force me to hard reset my Steam Deck for be able to use it again.

The multiplayer also don't work on my desktop PC Linux/SteamOS due to BattlEye abusive intrusion.

That an insult towards players who contributed the game.

And as game developer it's better to make a strong netcode than just using a kernel level anticheat who destroy the playing experience.
Using an kernel level anticheat is just an excuse of an bad netcode.

Despite the great efforts made to recreate Half-Life 2's assets, for which I acknowledge the work done.
This mod is an insult to Half-Life 2's artistic direction and the Source engine's historic rendering techniques.

My criticisms are similar to those of Project: Borealis:
- The usage of Deferred Rendering, which breaks the compatibility of the Source engine's historical MSAA.
- Forcing Temporal AntiAliasing and Upscaling (DLSS) techniques that create blurred, ugly rendering and a huge nauseating effect for players suffering from Motion Sickness.
- Incompatibility for players with AMD graphics cards, which discriminates against these players and therefore against Steam Deck.
- Extreme ghosting due to disastrous RayTracing management.

In short... I'm not surprised by this disappointment, and I hope to see real, respectful remakes made by fans in the style of Black Mesa (Half-Life remake) rather than RayTracing mods or crappy adaptations made on Unreal Engine 5...

TUNIC is one of the biggest gems in independent gaming.

The gameplay is simplistic but complex enough to keep its mysterious side, in fact the mysterious side of the game is very much inspired by FEZ, which is perfect for those who like to break their heads to solve certain puzzles, some of which are quite perplexing, which created a lot of brain explosions.
I really like the symbolism that the game gives with the manual, which is in fact designed in such an old-fashioned way that the developer has reproduced the printing errors while retaining a personal touch with pen-and-ink writing that gives the impression that the game has already been played by another player.
The game's graphics are sublime, the rendering techniques perfectly adapted to the graphic style, the fluffy feel and the light create a nostalgic charm.
This game is a love letter to video games of the NES/SNES era and to all video game enthusiasts.

As a gamer, this game left a lasting impression on me, and I have fond memories of it.
As a developer, this game taught me that creating a good game is all about the passion you put into it.

Thank you Andrew Shouldice, thank you to the developers at TUNIC, thank you Funji and thank you to everyone who helped develop and finance this game.

It's Half Life 2 but on Unreal Engine with deferred moderne issues (aka absence of MSAA, baked lightning and every optimized rendering who give every Source 1 and Source 2 performances and beauty graphics).

The Idea is here but wasting by bad usage of modern rendering and violation of some agreements.

Voluntary abandonment of Linux support for contradictory reasons and due to the professional incompetence of developers.

Developers don't know how to protect players from cheaters, while respecting the platform and players' privacy.

Competitors know how to create anti-cheating solutions that work only on the server side, without having to lose performance or system stability.

This game is the proof who the players can force a big publisher changing their decisions.
Congratulation to the fellow players who contributed to protect the Super Earth against the SONY decisions.
And congratulation to Arrowhead studio for making one of the best cooperative online game.

Early Access Review
Tower Unite is a great game!
I've spent so much time on this game, making new friends and, above all, having a great time playing, creating and socializing.
I wish all the best for this game, which I'm sure will continue to develop even after version 1.0.
I just pray that the developers don't abandon it after 1.0.
In any case, I remain confident about this project and will be ready to invest money from my game studio to ensure that the game is released in full.
