First of all, I'm a huge DOA fan. I love the series, the characters, the silly fanservice, the great fighting.
The game itself is really fun, and I'd even go as far saying it's the best this series has ever been - gameplay wise.

BUT (!!!) What kinda sick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deranged lunatic over there in Keoi Tecmo thought it was okay to release this with such a lack of content at full price just to sell overly expensive DLC later on? Seriously, half a year later, they sell DLCs at a total worth of over 1.200$, like are they insane? I thought Square Enix was bad with their season pass for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, but this right here is the lowest of the low.
It doesn't matter if you buy the deluxe edition, because you're still being locked out of the majority of most costumes. DOA5 is much older at this point, and despite already being excruciatingly expensive with all the DLC combined, it's already overshadowed by its sequel.

Doesn't matter how solid the foundation for this game is, the greediness is beyond disgusting and everything but consumer friendly.
All the other problems like online connection and such seem so much less noteworthy at this point.

Stay clear and get a different fighting game instead. Or play the Core fighters version if you really want to, though, I'd rather not...
