Only play this game if you wish to want to pull your hair out from all the bad game design choices. Some killers are balanced, others are so unbalanced it hurts to play. Same goes for survivor perks, but in the end, killers have such poor designed mechanics when thinking about the overall balance of a competitive game.

Where do I even start...?

Early Days:
You first get the game to fool around with some friends. You join your friend's lobby and play a match. It's hilariously fun! You decide to play every once and a while with friends. You pick out a character that looks cool and have a ton of fun for your first 20 hours of playing with friends.. Then you see RANKED...

You decide "Hey, what's the worst that could happen?". You get your ass kicked, but it was fun! You have a ton of fun going back and forth playing ranked winning and losing, not knowing combos or anything you are doing, but its fun! You decide to get a friend on to play 2v2 ranked and you guys start climbing. Now it starts getting more frustrating when you lose and feels great when you win. Now you are GOLD!

After reaching gold, you see streams of tournaments for brawlhalla and think "That could be me!". So you start really focusing up, start grinding to hit Plat. 1780 is all you need to become that shiny blue rank, but you start feeling even more frustrated because people who use the annoying and easy to use weapons have climbed up their aswell, and continue to beat you. What do you do? You keep grinding until that shiny blue 1780 rank is yours.

After reaching Plat you start losing sight of actually have fun in the game, because you're too wrapped up in winning. When you lose you get super frustrated, but when you win, you let the toxicity out of you just a bit, maybe with an ez or you're ds (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). Either way you are still grinding but it isnt fun anymore, its a chore to play the game because if you lose, you feel terrible. Now, a lot of people will quit before they reach diamond, but not you, you're different, you grinded your way up and you're not stopping until youre the top rank in the game. And then it happens, 600 hrs of you life, gone to get DIAMOND, but then you realize, the meta is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up there that only the fast weapons, fast characters can be used well. You start to see the flaws of the game truly. They promote passive play, while punishing aggressive players. You begin noticing people just wait back for you to mess up or misread their dodge and counter you hard. Now its just a game of cat and mouse. Then you get into the stats, where the only meaningful one is defense (in my opinion), because it stops you from dying early and allows for you to take a lot more hits, while things like dexterity does not matter because most weapon's combos are true anyways making it nearly pointless. Attack is just as useless, while speed has a little bit more of a use if you like moving a bit faster in the air.

You end up leaving the game due to this, but something keeps drawing you back. Is it the feeling of wanting to play at a professional level, or is it just an addiction that needs to be fed? You'll never know if you don't try the game now will you?

TLDR:
Game good until you try and play it competitively and then you notice a bunch of game design flaws that can really get under your skin. P.S. REMOVE LANCE AND GAME FIXED :)
