Been hesitant to buy the game. 150 hours in. Platinum (my 1st) and satisfied.

The combat although different from GoT still feels satisfying as long as you build correctly. Animation locks from parry makes the game look clunky from an observer perspective but the moment you start playing the combination of the combat, parry dodge, posture attacks (hold light/heavy), active skills feels good.

As other players said the story will feel a disconnect because of how open the world is but we still have the option to tackle everything based on the areas level and the story level. You will sometimes encounter unknown force so it's up to you if you will kill them or ignore them as you haven't got clue who are they.

Ubi have chosen us option of romance which can be ignored. So don't worry about Yasuke being gae as it's your own choice if you choose him to be gae.

Performance issues can be more handled correctly. I got a mid range pc from 2024, 13700kf + 4070 + SSD + 32ddr5, all max out for 1080p is only 40 fps on average so I have to downgrade a few to hit 120. Still gorgeous.

The world look and feels lovely. One of the most beautiful games I had played. If you see the draw distance, the amount of active NPC's, even fewer than Unity makes you think that the crafted world is alive.

Did I waste money? Possible. Is it worth buying? Yes.
