Absolutely fantastic gameplay. The story was amazing, I played on veteran, the intended difficulty and it felt really satisfying beating a hard enemy or mastering the combat system. The armor regen system was also interesting and there are some notes on that I wish I had known and understood sooner, but we all learn. The details of the game are stellar, extremely pretty and awe inspiring, certainly made it really feel like 40k. Don't get me wrong, it does have it's problems, sometimes dodging/blocking can feel a bit clunky and trying your hardest to get a perfect block to regen armor can be a pain in the behind. There is also, as per the history of this game, some sketchy stuff with the game. Primarily having to work for and unlock DLCs in game, most of which only work for multiplayer, not the campaign. Some armors like chapter armors, ie Dark Angels, Salamander, etc, you do get those immediately. However, DLCs like the Raven Guard, you have to earn in game currency, which you get by simply playing missions, to unlock the ability to use them. Thankfully the DLCs do not contain game breaking things that grant extra boons to those who have them, they are just purely cosmetic. So despite that bit of distasteful DLC implementation, the actual core gameplay is absolutely fantastic. The story is a bit short, most do it in like 12 hours, I did it in 9-10 hours, but it's a fantastic story, especially for those who are already fans of the 40k franchise. For me, the story alone is absolutely worth the money of the purchase with the bonus of replay-ability with multiplayer missions. Plus it's not like other games where there are a million and one collectible items. The only collectibles I saw were dataslates and there were only like 3-4 per mission area. Anywho, I'd rate this game an 8/10

Early Access Review
It's a great game, love the difficulty and "survival" aspects of the game. Gun combat feels good and healing feels reasonable too. While this game is quite entertaining and good, it does still suffer the issue that Escape From Tarkov, that being that because of how AI works, they always know where you are and have a tendency to turn around and snap headshot you with a 360° no scope you. So If the devs ever read this, I'd recommend an AI system like what Alien Isolation uses. 1 AI knows where everything is and gives hints to the Alien, aka enemy AI, rather than the enemies themselves knowing your exact position. Another main issue is that suppressors are absolutely useless, doesn't matter how you go about sniping or what not, suppressor is useless. However, outside this slight issues with the game, I sincerely enjoy it and have nearly beaten the game, terrified to do tiger bay right now. The difficulty does scale as enemies do get harder and more tactical the more you play ie certain areas like the starter town being easy and fort narith being hard, midnight sapphire harder and tiger bay the hardest.

I must say this game is very well made and very well done. Very good combination of good story, challenge and fun. The puzzles in this were good and very well made, but not super difficult but they definitely were well made and fun. I sincerely enjoyed this game and give the developers congrats and a job well done. There are a few things I have issue with this game, specifically some of the science beakers locations that you will almost assuredly need a guide for but I shant spoil that complaint here. Either way, it was most certainly a really good game and I had a lot of fun playing it. Thank you steam for giving this game away for free a few weeks ago, I'd been wanting to play this game for a while now.

Very enjoyable game all things considered. Very much loved the gameplay and the story of it all. This game, story wise, reminds me of the The Forest, in that, you think you're just a survivor just trying to you know, survive. Then you get smacked out of the blue as the story takes a wicked left turn you didn't even see coming! It was a bit deary and dark considering some of the things you can encounter in the game, some things may even make you question your own humanity. However, as I said, it was a good game, at least for me it was. I deeply enjoyed this game and had been looking forward to playing it for a long time. I do like that with a bit of effort, I was able to 100% the game, achievements and all with relative ease, there was nothing requested that was absurd or super difficult. However, one of the things I didn't like in this game is that you can't pick up chests, campfires, furnaces or signs that you place down. They are forever stuck wherever you build them. I also didn't like that the HUB didn't have like an actual proper storage room for the player to store their items. I had to build a mass amount of chests just outside the base (because you can't even build inside the HUB where its warm). And what storage it does have inside is very limited and scattered around the HUB making accessing what you have in there not super easy. It is nice that you can at least name the chests and that name shows when you highlight a chest. The last thing I didn't like was that there were a few plants that you can grow in the greenhouse that had absolutely no food recipes for them or bare minimal recipes. These plants are the Melons, Green Onions and the Dill, which have no recipes for them. Other plants like the Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Red Peppers have either one or two recipes. Lastly the primary recipes for food in this game revolve around Carrots and Potatoes mixed with either Meat (rabbit, normal meat or large meat) or Mushrooms (which grow in the wild and cannot be grown in a farm). Overall though, regardless of the downsides of this game it was deeply enjoyable and I loved playing it and am glad that I got the chance to do so.

((As for obtaining this game for free, I kinda did, I got it out of a Mystery bundle from Fanatical this year and considering other games more than made up for the price of the bundle I would argue that on some level, yes I did get it for free))

I absolutely love this game! I have always been a huge fan of the Harry Potter series and while I did absolutely enjoy some of the older titles (game wise) they do not compare to the intensity and immense fun that is this game. the older titles forced you into the story and it was entirely linear whereas this one is (obviously) open world but also just in general allows you to explore with absolute freedom and you get to choose your own adventure at Hogwarts. Admittedly at the time of writing this I am only 40 hours into this game but I legit played it nonstop for 13 hours straight! I hadn't even realized that much time had passed until I got a message from a friend lol. To me that is a sign of just how much fun this game is to play. And just in general, as a long time Harry Potter fan this really and truly feels like a proper and the ultimate Hogwarts adventure. Also, Yes I do dislike the fact that Quidditch was not put into the game and the poor excuse for why given in game, I do hope at some point they release a DLC for this content to allow us to at least play Quidditch eventually. But in all honesty this game is super fun and I do sincerely enjoy the game and find it to be a lot of fun to play. I enjoy the combat it feels fun and yet a still a challenge. Honestly though, the only thing this game is missing is Hagrid showing up and saying "You're a wizard!" xD

I love this game, it's quite a lot of fun and a great concept for a game idea. first of it's kind from what I can tell and it's brilliant and works wonderfully. I do not like that this game is very difficult to do solo. it's definitely very heavily intended to be played with a group of players.

Great game love the survival and zombie fighting experience, Modded servers are the best though. Original game is so incredibly difficult especially alone
