Never fails to continue to amuse and surprise me. Working on a new sub or playing a new campaign with friends always feels exponentially shorter than the actual amount of time it takes because this game is actually fun.

If you're on the fence, get this game. I was hesitant but barely even a chapter or two into the game and it's already money well-spent. Take a look at the publisher's portfolio. They syndicated the Outer Wilds, too.

Strongly recommend playing with a friend because the gameplay is difficult and there aren't many levels so the hours have to come from somewhere. But that being said, it is genuinely fun when you're not in a bad mood.

My only regret in playing this game is that I cannot fall into amnesia in real life to play it from the beginning all over again.

Would be a good game if it didn't fall right into Paradox's monetization scheme. Play Endzone instead.

It's ok I guess

I enjoyed this game's historical contexts and insights. I want to restate I fully enjoyed this game and you can see that in my play time.
I'll attempt not to spoil anything.
First, some criticism:
The story was adequate but I wouldn't call it superb or amazing. I felt that there were many parts that were condescending to the player for not being as open-minded as other characters, which felt ironic and out of place in the game's own setting.
A lot of contemporary dialogue was enough to induce certain levels of cringe, though I will admit one was extremely clever and deserved the level of cringe it provided. However, there felt to be a certain level of justice to all characters except for a single group that was painted as inherently bad all throughout the game's story and never received any justice. It can be somewhat forgiven due to the era in the bulk of the game, but even at the fourth ending, it just felt like it was forsaken.
Also, for all the commotion this group causes in the fact of being the main reason for the narrative existing in the first place, it felt like almost a lost opportunity in the final confrontation that it was too early in to be recognized.

Now, some praise:
The story is a monumental task for such a small team. The gameplay is unreal, and the level of detail in everything from lore to artwork to systems is absolutely impressive with a core team of 3. I found so few endings to be upsetting because I really wanted to explore more options than I was given, and that is a good thing for the developers, because people want more from them.

I enjoyed this game so much that it's going to sit in my library until more content is released! I want to enjoy the full experience. Support the developer!!

Not sure why this game is getting so much hate. Played through the first game and this game has MASSIVE improvements over it. I guess the story might be hard to follow if you know nothing about the first game at all but even without it, the story outpaces the first by several orders of magnitudes and it always feels like something unique is happening. Investigations do feel like they took a turn for the worse though as they are quite inefficient, but the game as a whole provides several new innovations and the artstyle here is too valuable to lose in modern gaming titles. Honestly I can't wait for a This is The Police 3 or equivalent title.

I've never been so scared and so confused at the same time. Great game!
