I highly recommend this game.

The graphics.
The game looks incredible in terms of textures but what's incredible about the graphics is the scale of everything is bigger because you are smaller right, but they add a special touch to everything like a small castle becomes a whole castle with magic abilities in it and so much detail its really amazing to look at.

The gameplay.
Every single level has a new ability you and your other player get to use to complete puzzles, and honestly, I can say every ability/gadget was highly engaging and interesting it felt fresh every level just off the new movement or puzzle-solving you can do. There are also mini-games throughout every level which just add a little more to the game you can play wack a mole early on with your friend one of you is the mole it's funny cool and fun every minigame brings something interesting aside from the horse race...

The story.
It's kinda dumb the game knows that and it makes it funny and interesting, Like you're a small doll fighting squirrels in a plane to make it through a window, it's dumb the game knows that and it uses that to make it funny, and interesting. The characters are pretty good I like the mom and dad the daughter is ehh alright. I never felt bored of the story it was good enough to not make me just wanna stop what I was doing it worked enough to let the level design and everything else shine.

The polish.
I ran into 0 bugs during my entire 2 playthroughs of this game, no minor ones, no major ones, nothing it all felt incredibly smooth. the animation is nice, the VA is nice, the graphics are nice, the performance is fine, it all *just works* ;)

The value.
Its a 40 dollar game, you only need one person to own the game because of the friend pass system and you get at least 10 hours of unique interesting fun gameplay I would happily have paid at least 60 dollars for this game and still felt completely fine with my purchase

All I can really say is if you're slightly interested in this game please give it a try it is very very fun.

This game has a bug that literally puts you in an infinite load screen there is no fix for it and its been in the game for 3 seasons now, also the servers suck massive ♥♥♥♥ thank you bye

I bought this game to get the degenerate steam profile background took me 3 hours to beat it though I'm sure most people could get through the entire thing in an hour if they ran through it but I had to get to 2.5 hours, anyway actually a pretty decent novel thingy the fourth episode is kinda trash with the nazi girl but that's ok

The player base to this game is terrible, half the players in this game are toxic rude people and the other half are pretty chill nice people I've made a few friends from this game but the toxicity really ruins it honestly.

The character design ability wise is very cool I mainly play damage based characters in overwatch or valorant LoL everything really but in paladins the tanks and supports are interesting and fun enough for me to play them every character is at least mildly interesting or fun 10/10 character design

The maps aren't great they are kinda buggy and boring but they work enough to let character design shine.

The polish, there literally is none this game is buggy laggy glitchy it feels like a FTP game from 2010 and it basically is, some of your games will play out just fine and some will be unplayable over lag and bugs there are game breaking bugs that have been in this game since RELEASE, there is a whole google doc made by community content creators that has HUNDREDS of bugs that have been in for years its depressing how unpolished this game really is.

The anti cheat is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke at one point a cheater ruined a tournament openly cheating and didn't get banned for 6 months after the fact and its just account bans so he's probably still hacking along with everyone else with aimbots and esps.

The toxicity is unbelievable I was playing with my girlfriend one day and our teamates were constantly sexist and weird towards her for an entire competitive match and they spammed her with friend requests for about a week after that match and she couldn't even block them to stop it but those guys are still not banned after I recorded them being sexist and saying vile things and sent it to hi rez MYSELF they are still unbanned. I have an uncountable unimaginable about of stories of toxic players just going unbanned I cant get into it, just know hi rez does not care nobody will be banned and nobody at hi rez cares.

The devs release new characters new buffs and nerfs even new maps and events constantly its incredible but they're doing that trying to keep the game alive so they can squeeze money out of the players constantly with skins and ♥♥♥♥ they don't care to fix the bugs or cheaters or even ban openly racist or sexist players the developers really just seem like they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about this game.

TLDR, terrible toxic community, good character design, decent map design, Its a fun game but its buggy toxic and the devs don't seem to care I would skip this game or if you play it just expect a questionable experience.

(I have been playing this game off and on since around feb 2017 and none of this has changed at all since I started playing)

Just reviewing to show I haved 666 hours, Its great game though but it takes a long time to grind all the heros out without buying either a booster or heros themselves with money so goodluck
