This game has some absolutely amazing core concepts: Play a huge game with many players over an entire solar system. Battle on land, in the air, over the sea, in space, and between planets. This game has had some improvements to the optimization so far, but it still has far to go. Should you get this game? Well, I'm going to make that answer relatively short. First of all, if you don't have a stable internet connection, do not buy this game. Even though it's in its "Official Launch," this game is not complete. You CANNOT play the game without being connected to their servers.* Other than that, if you are okay with playing a game that is still in development, then this is a good game and a good grab for any fan of large scale strategy games. But do not be fooled by the "finished game" label, it is not, and if Uber does not continue to improve this game, it has let down its kickstarters and its fans immensely.

*You can now play the game offline.

EDIT: Uber did work on their game, they did improve it, wonderful. Good on you, Uber. But now you've gone and done it. Uber has finally added a good amount of the content that was promised to us that funded the game back when it was in beta. Except it's in a new standalone, that everyone but the original kickstarters must purchase. Really? Some of the kickstarters payed very little money compared to the $30, $40, and even up to $60 prices that Planetary Annihilation was going for in beta. This changed our let down to almost outrage.
