Early Access Review
I pushed 50 hours into this game to try and enjoy it with my boyfriend.
I pushed all the way to max rank so I can use the guns I want to use because the game is a grindy time sucking hole.
I therefor stopped playing (taking a break) after this grind fest and came back after an update. ALL MY WEAPONS GOT RESET AND ALL MY ATTACHMENTS ARE GONE.
Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you reset my attachments that I worked my ass off for, is it cause you wanted to update the game and couldn't do it without resetting everyone's efforts?

Gameplay is the least desirable type I can think of, DMR spam out the ass with no real way to counter other than with a sniper rifle yet because of the balancing I can't actually counter snipe at all because the DMR has very low flinch, high rate of fire, with no recoil to speak of and if they're running a low zoom optic good luck even finding them in the first place and a magazine size of an assault rifle. Yet the sniper rifle has to think of the bullet drop over distance cause his shots come at a pace of 60RPM (mag size of 10 at most) whereas the DMR will pump out at a whopping 300RPM (up to 450 for one rifle) and will simply outpace the sniper requiring less skill from the DMR and an ass-load more from the Sniper.

TTK is appalling too, it seems that the COD formula of "if everyone is OP then nothing is" seems to ring true here as the raw TTK of most weapons is below 200ms and even faster than that dependent on range and RPM of the weapon.

For DEVs that sure do hate the idea of shotguns in their game (they must be the wussies who hate BF4 "operation lockers") They sure do love the broken weapon balancing that makes the game unfun for most people.
Anything that inst an SMG or a DMR inst meta, aside from 2 assault rifles you will rarely see anything beyond what I mentioned.
in my 70 odd hours of playing I've used the LMGs maybe 3 times I can think of as it's a detriment to use due to the weight of the weapon and the ADS speed.
Meta loadouts are all too common to see and there's no other way to counter them other than to run the same loadout (COD BO:CW did this and it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked)
When I played the explosives were overused and frankly a little too oppressive to play against (Battlefield bad company anyone?)

The Devs had lightning in a bottle and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ let it all out for god knows what reason, 100k playerbase and all the praise in the world and they threw it all away. I only wish I knew what was going through the Devs head every time he pushes a ♥♥♥♥ filled update

I thought it'd be more like how I remembered NHRA for the PS2
more about the engine tuning aspect, changing bore size, changing compression ratio and messing with timings and picking out what you want for an engine, from chevy/mopar/ford/buick etc

the car selection isn't that expansive
the engine selection is not that expansive either
the tuning is nice as it adds more stuff to play with but lacks what I loved most about the NHRA copy

Graphics leave alot to be desired, in my 50 minute playtime I couldn't figure out how to get the camera to work with me half the time even after reading the controller layout
Graphics glitch out was a common thing as well from the taillights when you are in chase mode.

even at 9 dollars, this game is too expensive for what it is
I have what I'd consider a high end PC (ryzen 5 5600X, 16gb ram, AMD rx 6700XT ran through a Samsung SSD) and this game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ through it, microstutters stack and make the game unplayable
the UI looks like trash, almost like no one ever took a design course in how to make something user friendly, with tabs that pop out of tabs and tabs that look like they should do something but don't. But don't forget everything has to load, so you will spend minutes in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ menu to adjust simple ♥♥♥♥ like contrast to fix their trash color pallet and a minute to get back out of it!
the visual of the game is blue "waaaow like bf4 was!?" no not at all, it's all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grey on blue and blue on grey leading to the visuals being a literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of grey and blue, no enemy recognition at all provided they arent running at you (which they wont)
Devs now look at their old titles and wonder why they did so well, COD is doing it too.
BF went "hm, they liked BF3-4 what made that game sell so well" and some dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wopperjawed bastard went and said "I knaow, ISH BLUE" and all the devs clapped and went about copying all the main elements without knowing why they were there to start with.
the same ♥♥♥♥ also went "they liked the sound design of the menu lets try and copy that whitenoise!" not realizing that it wasn't whitenoise and went about attempting to copy something that wasn't there to begin with!

I feel as though the one who got this for me helped me out to find my own sensitivity and to fight through my own aiming issues. and as stupid as I feel saying it was a lack of self esteem causing me to undervalue every other aspect of aiming and mouse control.
this game teaches you to run for scores (unless you read a aiming guide or join the sparky aiming discord) and that teaches bad habits (such as raising your sens to track a target that is too close to you and moves 50% faster than any other game I can think of)
if you want to spend money on this game, give yourself a good think about why you feel you suck at aiming first and train what you think you're bad at and find out if you are indeed that bad, or just think it.

Every game game in existance is going to be plagued with hackers and glitch abusers given enough time once the game is released. Rainbow 6 is no different in that quality and in my eyes makes it another competitive shooter that is starting to die. CSGO went the same route in a simmilar fasion, R6 at this point in time is plagued with many of both hackers/glitch abusers to the point it has become unfunny.
Server degradation is a normal thing for all games, but for R6 siege a AAA title owned by Ubisoft Montréal with a corperation net worth of a whopping 3.69 billion dollars, who themselves cant seem fit to run even 64 tick servers (or servers that dont degrade after a days worth of use) or run hot-fixes while their servers are down. Battlefield franchise does destruction features pretty well, Ubisoft needs to take a look at that as their destruction features are all CLIENT sided, meaning the destruction might not end up on your side of the game leaving a reinforced wall completely untouched but broken from a Thermite on the other side with an easy headshot on whoever was unlucky enough to recieve the "client sided destruction"
Another issue of the lackluster 32 tick servers (as quoted from ubisoft devs (The current servers run at a tick rate of 64, but the position of players is updated 30 times per second)) take a guess as to why most shooter games run at 64 ticks per second for me and tell me why this AAA title is still running on 32 or less ticks per second and wont upgrade to anything higher

I can not in any faith at all as someone who values all competitive integrity and player comfort recommend this trash example of "how to kill your Golden Goose"
all the player-base wanted was 128 tick servers
all the player-base wanted was better visuals
all the player-base wanted was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti-cheat
what was got was "64 sub-tick servers" IE. Valves personal pet project jank that the player-base has to live with
what we got was better visuals at the cost of losing a better game
all we got was no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti-cheat and no overwatch to manually ban cheaters anymore
and all we got, when cheaters do get banned; we get no ELO back, hows that for a middle finger

WE AS A PLAYERBASE, ALL WE GOT WAS ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HARD AND ROYALLY BY A GREEDY COMPANY THAT DOESN'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CARE

Enjoy your EOMM styled matches. Get over that 50% W/L margin and watch your match quality tank, you will be matched with people who don't know how to play or refuse to learn how to play.
watch as your matches turn to complete ♥♥♥♥ VIA the enemy team being suspect as ♥♥♥♥ and literally appearing on your screen shooting you before they even had a chance to render in on your end
watch as your self esteem for your mechanical and logical learning go right out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ windows with each and every match due to the new matchmaking algorithm.

CS:GO had issues, CSGO wasn't perfect, but it as a game is a damned farcry from CS2 with all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jank mechanics it added in.
YOU ARE STILL BETA TESTING AND THE PLAYERBASE IS TOO DAMNED STUPID TO SEE THAT AND I WONT BE PART OF IT

I WANT CS:GO CAUSE I ACTUALLY PAYED FOR IT, NOT THIS HUNK OF MONETIZED JUNK

Most call it hat simulator, some call it a F2P joke. I tend to call it one of the better FPS games I have ever played, I sunk in 1,008 hours into it and I honestly have not gotten tired of it in the slightest. As of late the Valve team for TF2 has been neglecting it to a ludicrous extent with very poor gameplay changes and the removal of quickplay and the addition of competitive play. I feel that the Valve team lost a good amount of people to this as TF2 is not a competitive style game, it may be for some but quickplay was where you would find the friendly F2P players who need a nudge in the right direction to find the class that fits them the best. They removed that aspect and it makes the game purely competitive and any new player coming in will not see TF2 the way it was around a year ago and I am saddened by that fact.

Hopefully the Valve team will wake up and see that TF2 isnt a game made purely for competitive players, but the casual and even noobish players and need to return the the simple formula it once used as it's basis for a game that has withstood the test of time; 9 years.

In any case I feel the game is still something that can be polished up, but it is still a game with trying because of the people you meet.

Edit for June 3rd 2024 of the #SaveTF2 Campaign
The game is in a state of death throes and it's clear as day to anyone with half a brain.
The ingame economy is inflated to hell and back by bot hosters using them to idle out hundreds of thousands of items to sell back into the economy and it has inflated the value of a key when I left my review it was under 30 ref and has inflated to well over 80 at this point due to malicious bot hosters. This hurts YOU VALVE as your economy is so d*mn inflated that nothing is worth anything. Weimar republic, Zimbabwe, Venezuela... anyone??

If a you-tuber with a doctorate in f*cking rocks can track down nearly 70K bots and their hoster using ingame tools (such as the giftapault) I can sure as he|l expect valve to be able to do the same and BAN THEM, amend the f*cking TOS to make it so they cant run 20K bots all with THE SAME NAME
I'd be more than happy to show my ID and prove I'm a human if it meant valve stepping in and removing ALL THE MALICIOUS BOTS AND THEIR HOSTERS
this inst just TF2 being targeted either, CS2 is plagued by case idle bots as well.

Bot hosters have destroyed game integrity on another level as well, we have ingame bots targeting human players attempting to act as human some times in an attempt to create subterfuge to kick HUMAN players all while hacking, and if they arent on sniper no one is any the wiser since most players only think if you are cheating you are going to be spinbotting.

FIX YOUR GOD D*MNED GAME VALVE, IT'S ALIVE AND WELL BUT NOT FOR LONG IF YOU KEEP IGNORING IT LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
