You know what they say... Hexcells

This game is fantastic, it tells a story that is simple and yet engaging, the mechanics are varied and interesting enough to keep you going throughout the whole game.

The main hook of the game is the method of storytelling. Instead of interrupting gameplay with cutscene and monologue the story is told through a diegetic* narrator. This Narrator tells the story as you play it, often times interacting with your actions. If you start smashing up the level when you first get a weapon the narrator will say: "The kid flails about for a while letting his anger out" (or something along those lines). This means the story feels natural and with this narrator being all the dialogue in the game it gives a lonely feeling that fits well with the themes of the story.
The story itself is also fantastic, a perfect 4-5 hour campaign allows you to get through the game before the mechanics bore you and the beats and arcs of the story work well, the ending even offers you the opportunity to cry a littlebit.

The gameplay is also fantastic; the isometric map, interesting weapons and mechanically interesting opponents mean that the gameplay stays fresh no matter how you decide to play.
Although I would recommend a controller.
It also has a decent amount of replayability with a NG+ version and the classic branching story (Meaning you can pick from about 4 endings via two choices).

*Diegetic: An element of the story that takes place within the narrative world as opposed to outside of it; Diagetic Music might be played from a set of speakers as some characters dance while non-diegetic music would be dramatic action music during a gunfight.

I am depressed man who moved away from his family in order to do soul crushing and dangerous work to earn a pittance so that I can send money back to my family, I've told them I am working and an office and sometimes they send me letters with art drawn by my young child. As I progress through a meaningless corporate ladder I hope day by day that I don't die for the meagre earnings I am sending back to my family. I know that the pittance I earn is all that is keeping my family from poverty and I cant afford to make it back home anymore.

A fantastic and brutal rouge-liteish RPG this game is the most tense game I have played in a while despite it being almost entirely turn based. Prepaire to have to break and throw away brave adventurers for more loot so you can get your main heros to delve deeper into the darkness.

This game is a superb stealth game, with an engaging and shocking story.

You play as a ninja and no game before or since has made you feel like a ninja like this game does, stealth is easy but still rewarding with an excelent set of mechanics that stack up until the end of the game giving you a wide suite of tools to use against your enemys, no matter your play style.

The tokens in each level offer rewards that make the game more fun and encorage you to try out different play styles and the paths give you a better ability to focus on a particular style. The visuals a beutiful as well with this remaster bringing it to a new level with stunning backdrops and almost disney quality animations.

The game is a great expantion off the elderscrolls lore and a great standalone game as well i recomend it to anyone who like a deep lore or a simple fun gamelay

Don't look at other people play it. just play it yourself, you will not regret it.

Game Dev tycoon is bigger and more detailed but more complex and less casual
fantastic game to play when your waiting for something
it does have its problems but their not to bad

game is very fun server options are abit limited and it seems lacking in some areas but if some modders can get a hold of this it will become much bigger
good game and it free so what reason to you have not to buy it
