as an arcade-y game, it is expected that games like this will last no longer than 1 hour and 20 minutes.
However, this game does not hold your hand.

Highly recommended if you consider yourself a "challenge enjoyer" First-time players will probably have their play time double or triple the expected time to beat.

The Kiki Kaikai (Pocky and Rocky) franchise is yet to have this level of polish, and its wonderfully animated and beautifully rendered pixel art all the way through it, and if you find yourself craving more, going after its achievements will make you adapt to using different characters, while making sure not to use any continues.
