A good survival horror shooter rpg set in a mansion whose resident is evil.
It is generally good and through its mechanic of dying and retrying as a new team member you keep coming closer to the true ending. Its combat is pretty unique - you enter a different "map" where you aim and shoot like in an old arcade shooting games, with enemies slowly approaching. Melee ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks when you have to use it - only one character can actually get anywhere with melee.
Speaking of teammates you have six. They don't have clear stats given to you outright but they do have stats. All characters have a speed stat and melee damage stat. Shooting damage seems uniform, though some characters seem to aim faster. Maybe. Others have skills for very specific actions - one guy can upgrade weapons, one girl can create medkits. One guy has a sidequest because he is a nerd.
Overall it's a pretty good game.
However, i have to say the thing i say to 99% of horror games:
FRUSTRATION IS NOT HORROR YOU IMBECILES!
Making really obtuse puzzles that will 100% kill you the first time around? Making traps that some characters are bound to die to due to ♥♥♥♥ running speed? THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SHOTGUN TRAP ♥♥♥♥ YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?!!?
No, this did not scare me, no matter what people stuck in the era of fixed camera angles and tank controls seem to prefer. There is no fear to frustration - there is only anger. Anger is antithetical to fear - it smothers fear. As well as any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enjoyment at the moment. Which is why, the true ending was something i really didn't enjoy - a ton of awful laser puzzles that one hit kill you with hitboxes that aren't actually where they claim to be, combined with a time limit. A boss that's easy to stunlock and zombies that waste your time.
Please - all the horror devs listening. PLEASE DO NOT CENTER YOUR HORROR ON FRUSTRATION. For the love of God or whatever force you worship.
Still... i do recommend it as a game... especially since i know i'm somehow in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minority when it comes to seeing horror as something that's not meant to be a frustrating mess.
10/10 would dump all the magnum ammo into the skull of the shotgun puzzle creator again.

Too easy, too long, uses a primitive technology which will horribly date it in the following years when it inevitably stops working(chatGPT).

This one is just... bad. Frustrating, boring and unoriginal. I wish i could say more about it, but there's really nothing more to say. Like with many games, the worst thing you can do is "just be another one" - and this one is just another one, leaning towards bad.

People are calling it corny or edgy in some reviews but... i think their reaction is like the knee-jerk instinct of people in Brave New World to be embarrassed by poetry and interrupt it with loudly yelled-out rhymes and jokes. Consumption got us used to such slop we can't appreciate something that makes us feel vulnerable.
I am... currently feeling pretty depressed, so the message of this game felt personal. I know how it feels to hate yourself, yet have multiple other contradictory feelings. Humans are quite "Eldritch" in this sense.
Other common argument against it is the use of AI... *sigh*. This game shows a great use case for AI art yet some pencil pushers are still offended, huh? Sad. Insecure. I do not understand how a tool can be hated this much.
The thing i dislike personally would be a lack of a few functions like manual saves or a skip function - there's a part at the end that can take some replaying to find the right choices.
10/10... i should probably read No Longer Human - many weeb products i stumble into seem to be referencing this one lately.

The story would have been engaging if the gameplay wasn't so piss-easy. It is literally impossible to lose and potions are almost completely useless and uneeded. If only this was a simple "ooga booga girl fall on benis until corruption to like benis" then i wouldn't be so frustrated but people suggested this has a good story. Yeah, it is good - but when the game is so piss-easy that even those who like corruption-slop wouldn't enjoy it because HOW THE ♥♥♥♥ DO YOU LOSE?! If the point is to see multiple deadly violations from losing then let people lose, if the point is the story, don't make the game so easy that it bores people. And i'm using the "normal" difficulty - can't imagine what easy is like
I barely went over 3 hours so i can't refund it - shame.
