Today we’ll be looking at a game that’s perfectly paired with my brand of mental illness – Needy Girl Overdose.
Now, there’s been some hags with colored hair and saggy tits ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about this game and its title. The company making this game is an indie thing, niche beyond niche. They are based in JAPAN and thus they don’t truly understand western mess of a culture – just like you nerds never truly will understand japanese culture desu. The devs relented to the pushback against the title and changed it to Needy Streamer Overload, but take this – there are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mad at THEM for being bullied by feminists. Look nerds, a random Hiyoshi Tanaka(John Smith) of JAPAN has no idea that there’s a giant culture war going on in the west and that there’s no need to bow down to f*males with blue hair. Show them understanding and kindness instead of threathening to refund okay? Uwu
Now, you might have noticed that I’m more annoying than usual – that’s due to the type of game we are reviewing today! NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a “multi-ending ADV” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel-chan” – an attention starved, mentally ill ♥♥♥♥♥ of an alt-girl who wants to become the #1 streamer for validation and moneys! An admirable goal, but you as Her P-chan(producer/penis) have to guide her on this harsh road. Help her find streaming topics, help her manage stress and insanity… or don’t. You can make her do drugs and ♥♥♥♥ her. I myself am mentally ill as you could have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guessed and I’ve dated mentally ill women. Nothing as messy as Kangel, but still – I can see the appeal. You have to shield her from mean comments like a facebook janny, pick which superchats she’ll read out loud and instruct her how to treat her simps. Speaking of simps and paypigs, some of you nerds were malding about the fact that otaku was changed to nerd in the english version. Suck P-chan’s ♥♥♥♥. It’s barely a change at all and tbh, it seems intentional in order to make you simps look more pathetic than they already are uwu <3.
The game is very well versed in the toxicity of the internet, shaming both e-thots and their paypigs.

Are there good endings? Probably. But I’m the kind of ♥♥♥♥ who reads Maggot Baits like one would a greek tragedy – I’m not exactly TRYING to get into bad endings but they are very creative.
Returning to the title for a bit – yes, you can overdose lmao.
Graphics are really pretty, but have a certain darkness behind them too. You remember those tumblr blogs that’d post cute, pink stuffed toys and gadgets right next to xanax, switchblades and lines of coke? Yeah, that’s the aesthetic.
Getting absolutely serious for a moment – if you are feeling depressed or suicidal, have substance abuse problems or other mental abnormalities I can’t really recommend this game to you. I’m just on a spectrum with a tiny dose of other retardations and am currently at an upwards trend so I manage. But if I was feeling worse when playing this game I might have had thoughts like “I am just as pathetic of a mess like her. I crave attention I don’t deserve. ♥♥♥♥ this life.”… Yeah – think before playing and all that stuff. (´。＿。｀)
There’s a lot of achievements for different actions and endings though reading through them you might get spoiled. Also a ton of em are references to more(or less) niche media – animu, visual novels, games, songs(ALL AROUND ME ARE FAMILIAR PLACES…) - devs know their ♥♥♥♥.
Well, what else can I say? The game is cheap, fun and tragic. Kangel is absolutely crazy and as we all know – it’s fun sticking ♥♥♥♥ in crazy! >:3 ｡*ﾟ+.*.｡(っ ͡° ل͜ ͡°)っ✂╰⋃╯
10/10 would overdose again (´・ω・｀)

A history-friendly game about vikings. None of the netflix adaptaion ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here - you won't see a black redhead female leading a bunch of viking men. You also won't get the double horned helmets and murderpillaging... well, you can murderpillage but that's optional. Norse were not only warriors but also traders - and i myself completed a mostly diplomatic playthrough.
Other than that it's a good SRPG with some crafting mechanics. Wish the settlement managment was a bit more expanded though - maybe we'll see that in expeditions: rome.

Based and lovecraftpilled

A lovely chill little game in an original setting. It gives me a mix of a pacific islander and south-east asian feeling. Everything fits well together inside a comfy package. The only thing i'd say is annoying is that some systems aren't well explained - still unsure why mood of some my companions lowers for example.
Anyways - recommend this game. Buy it and go FEMBOY FISHING* on a lovely island.
*femboys not included. There is one in Ciel Fledge though lmao

Rhagaea is best waifu. Can't marry her(yet(there are mods though)) but her tomboyish daughter is second-best.
Ehkm. where was I, ah yes - the review.
It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ based. Improved in every way. The best improvement is scale of battles. No more of the pathetic 60 vs 30 battles. Now you have 300 vs 300 battles, with reinforcements steadily flowing in. You can drwon in the crowds of men rushing to kill you, clouds of dust kick up in the air as horses stampede the formations, you can experience a once in a lifetime flash of adrenaline of a ballista ripping appart men right next to you and living you with 1% of health... war is hell but also extremely fun.
Some bugs to be expected but are pretty rare in my experience.
10/10 would rebuild a totally not roman empire again
