Good game. Old school. Needs more content.

Solid entry to the franchise, Bad company.

The gameplay is solid and more offense based than previous counter hit heavy defensive Tekken games.

Downright scummy that they waited for positive reviews on release, before adding a microtransaction cosmetic store in their first update. Then they bamboozled us yet again in their first major update by adding a battle pass as well.

So on top of them selling us new characters for 8 euros a pop, they now sell us skins and a battle pass! In a 70 euro premium game! (with a 110 euro Ultimate edition)

The battlepass is FOMO and filled with stuff that was free in Tekken 7! Unlike some great examples of battle pass implementation like newly released critically acclaimed Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic and Halo Infinite. All of which are not TIME GATED.

I will personally remember these scummy practices and not buy their next entry into the franchise, despite being an active Tekken player since Tekken 4 over 20 years ago.
