With the full understanding of this is Early access and I would argue very Early access if you are a fan of KSP1 and don't mind that there will currently be bugs, performance issues and missing content I would recommend this.

I'm by no means a veteran of KSP but even with that after using the tutorial I was able to launch a satellite into orbit on my first try with no issue.
This will improve with updated if you want to experience the game as development goes and just have fun launching rockets, planes and exploring the Kerbals home star system I'd recommend this.
If you would rather wait for a more content filled and stable game or have a slightly dated PC I'd say waiting for more updated that will add more content and optimisation

This is very niche game that is not like CK,EU or HOI.

Its not about conquering the world (although it is possible) its about industrialising, its about changing the standard of peoples live and most of all its about economy management and supply and demand.

If you put the time in to learn it (Youtube videos help immensely) it is a very rewarding game.

It took me 4 tries to learn it but playing as the US, I claimed the western US, conquered Alaska with the aid of Canada, made Mexico my Dominion, forced Japan to open its markets and later made them part of my dominion ending with a GDP of 3.5B.

Combat isnt the most involved but I personally find it more about planning than reacting seeing your plan come to a success is highly rewarding but can be frustrating when it doesn't and it really needs away to make other world powers mind their own business XD

Its definitely worth it if your open to putting the time in and learning its mechanics

A underated Total War with Limited replayability.

I enjoyed my campaign as one of the Viking factions it introduces very interesting mechanic but I have no urge to replay it as if you do go to conquer the whole of the British Isles you see how the unit roster are very similar and that is In comparison to the other historic Total War games not Warhammer.
But with that in mind the battles are still solid and very fun and while it was a step back in terms of removing garrisons for small settlements (There is a mod in the workshop to fix this) the Siege battles for the cities are some of the best in Total War.
I wouldn't recommend this at full price but I'd definitely recommend it on sale.

One of the best Grand Stratagy games currently out and has the best immergent storytelling I've seen in a game

You do need DLC to get the most so I'd advice watching this

Shogun 2 is the best total war game for many reasons is the most optimized, has the best Ai, is the most well balanced and has by far the best multiplayer system

One of the best grand stratagy games on the market
EU4 has you managing a countries from the dawn of the renessance to the hight of Impieralism spanning from 1444 to 1821, you manage,
You take control of any nation during this time and you control the millitary expansion, diplomatic dealings and the economy of these nations to leave you mark.
Although EU4 is a very complex game that can take a long time to master and even then you are learning new method on how to win and cunning ways to expand
