Coming into this review with what has already been said (much better than I could), I can only speak to my experiences in my 16 hours with Cyberpunk thus far:

I've been having a blast. I suppose I'm rather fortunate in that I've only had one crash and nothing game/quest-breaking in my total playtime. However, I have been affected by a myriad of smaller bugs and technicalities:

- Characters holding invisible weapons.
- Subtitles appearing but no dialogue being spoken (occurring within the literal first ten minutes of gameplay).
- UI problems in the menu with text appearing off center, character models not appearing, etc. (usually fixed with quickly exiting and reentering).
- General typos in regards to the subtitles (incorrect grammar/punctuation, subtitles not matching what the character says but carries the same general point).
- Problems with geometry such as objects floating in midair.
- Bad pop-in in regards to vehicles and NPCs appearing low-poly even when right up to them.

As much as I know the predicament CDPR was in, the game probably needed another six months or so. But as for as many problems I've ran into and criticisms I have, I wouldn't have amassed 16 hours if there weren't any upsides:

- Combat and gunplay is an absolute blast. I'm actively enjoying going from map marker to map marker marking gang activity to engage in firefights. A total combination of guns, melee, explosives, and hacking makes lots of fun.
- Character customization in regards to skills, cyberware, and weaponry is vast and makes replayability very lucrative. In terms of physical appearance, besides the fact you can customize your genitals, there's nothing that gives V more choices than your typical open-world RPG.
- Parkour, climbing, running, and your physical movements are a lot of fun. I love finding bizarre ways to get on top of roofs such as climbing up on AC units, vents, scaffolding, and other ways.
- I'm only a few missions into the main storyline, which is a testament to how much fun I've been having with sidequests, gunplay, looting, and leveling up my skills.
- Soundtrack is an absolute banger. I'm not one to really follow game soundtracks, but made an exception by adding this game's soundtrack to my Spotify rotation.

My ultimate takeaway is don't expect a Fallout: New Vegas or a Witcher. It's Skyrim on steroids - it's as wide as an ocean, but as shallow as a puddle. Take it for what it is. Recommended after all the upcoming bug fixes and patches come through - if you can wait, then do so.

A very worthy successor to Max Payne 1, and I might even say it surpasses the original. Though one should still play both to experience the full Max Payne story.

I posted in my Max Payne 1 review that I was too young when I first played to fully understand the story, but now that I'm replaying the story now, all I can do is fully embrace the masterpiece of this game and the series.

It's amazing to replay the story, fully understanding it, while going with the nostalgia of playing this game many years ago. Really, buy and play both games, they're amazing and the story still holds up even compared to some stories in games today! HIGHLY reccommend!

I remember playing this game after Max Payne 2 a VERY long time ago. I was too young to fully understand the story, but after replaying it, I have fully come to embrace the true nature of this game.

Downright amazing story. It's a great mystery that slowly peels away layer after layer and really makes you feel for Max as he's after the people who changed his life forever.

Only problem is with the PC port where sound cuts out of the graphic novels, cutscenes, and gunfire is buggy. But a quick search online quickly finds a patch for it and you can really explore the game as a whole! HIGHLY reccommend!
