Phenomenal game in all aspects.
Having a turn-based game consist of reactive triggers for attacks and defense is such a great mix. As someone who loves Soul-like games, this system worked really well for me.
Story is solid and follows a relatively linear narrative, but with mysteries and questions surrounding said narrative. As you progress, you're exposed to more clues and answers.
Characters are likeable and I'm emotionally invested. Voice acting is solid (only experienced in English, but it's a French game)
Soundtrack is AMAZING. Always fits the scenario and they're done impeccably.
This is what an actual AAAA game should look like, at an actual reasonable price.

Big fan and will am excitedly anticipating its sequel.

Great game and it had me addicted for the 2 days I owned + played it.

One unfortunate thing is the length of the game; it only goes up to the 3rd map (3 total main bosses). If you're an above average gamer, you'll have this beat within 10-12 hours like myself. However, considering that's only $5 CAD per hour for really enjoyable hours of gaming, I think it was worth it (assuming you're into FPS + Roguelite + Soulslike games, as this hits each of those genres very well).
