Early Access Review
This is highly recommended for anyone interested in space. I grew up with the beginnings of Celestia, and it's good to see similar projects continuing.

The possibility for exploration is endless if you enjoy that sort of thing. It often becomes quite disturbing, for example when a planet suddenly leaps at you out of the darkness as you travel, but I don't mind especially. There is enough content here to never leave the Solar System, although it is fun to get completely lost in another galaxy. Space objects are varied and the in-game browser makes it easy to find what you are looking for, by characteristics and so on.

My biggest gripe (and I use that word lightly, because this is comparatively a minor issue) with Space Engine is the planet surfaces, which are a bit of a letdown. Most of the fun on the surface of a planet is had by looking at other space objects rather than the actual surface. Whilst large structures like Verona Rupes are interesting, more subtle details are lost. Finding a planet with life is also generally meaningless, and the only flora you'll see is a very basic texture with grass. Of course, I'd never expect a "No Man's Sky" modelling of alien life... but it would be interesting and perhaps not resource intensive to visit an alien planet and see a forest with fauna sounds coming from it... Perhaps something for far down the pipeline.

Early Access Review
Overall, this is a good game that has much promise. It is fun to play, although I felt it getting a little stale after a while - this is a result of it being in early access.
Some constructive criticism:

- The raiders are very challenging at first, but after a while they become trivial to deal with. It's also very annoying to constantly have your goods stolen and not being able to do anything about it? Perhaps more could be done about security?
- Logistics sometimes feel a little off - I noticed people just standing around staring at goods that need to be moved.
- People in this game are pretty much just ants and there's no real engagement with medieval culture, with festivals and day-to-day goings on - I do understand this is something that will likely come later, so it's not a huge worry.
- I think more should be made of water and sewage in general. In particular watermills were common at this time. Flooding as well should be considered.
- I'm not sure about the artificial borders between regions, it feels a bit frustrating at times to have to found an entirely new settlement for a resource that is right next to your town.
- I'm unsure about the agricultural system. I will admit I'm not an expert on medieval economics, but it doesn't 100% chime with what I know of the era, in particular with only a few people collecting the whole harvest once a year - to my knowledge, most of the village would help, and harvest was twice a year (in the spring for the animal feed). This is a little nitpicky but it doesn't seem logistically possible to create the vast field systems that were a feature of the middle ages. This isn't huge, and the general spirit is there, it just feels a little odd.

ok I love this game, it's fantastic and really fun for the reasons everyone has outlined. But I have to say;

There is a very obvious spelling mistake when you are rolling a die.

How has this been in early access for years and you DIDN'T notice this?

Anyway, 10/10, everyone keeps falling in love with me.

Overpriced but worth it.

Whilst it could have had more content for the price, overall I'd say this is worth getting.

Remarkable little game, especially the Briggsian hand-painted artwork. It's sad that it had zero players but I'm happy it's had many more now.

Disappointing.

It took about 14 hours to become actually playable on my 60 mb/s internet.

Another 30 minutes I had to spend remapping the keyboard (despite not really knowing what a lot of the controls did) because they couldn't be bothered to make a layout for a keyboard without a numpad.

The earth is impressive, but after twenty years of Google Earth (with a free flight simulator!) it's not *that* impressive. I don't expect them to have hand-modelled every building, but what I saw just didn't make sense; flying over rural England had blotchy tower blocks jutting out of the ground where barns were. There were trees, but they looked plastic and out of place. It's absurd and I expected better.

Now there are a lot of good things, and a lot of effort has gone into making the experience authentic. If you're here just for the experience of flying I think you will enjoy it. But if, like me, you were here for the earth visuals, you will be disappointed. I probably will come back to this game, but not until there's been some work on that front at least.

Most challenging platformer games will have a restart point relatively close to the boss or difficult part so that restarting isn't a chore. This is such a rudimentary part of game design, I'm honestly astonished that this otherwise beautiful and intricate game would forget it.
As it is, traipsing down the same path again and again just isn't fun. I've spent about 5 hours on the same part, and 2/3 of that is just walking. It's so boring.

I want to like this game, and I like everything else about it.

Perhaps Paradox's most 'casual' game, but they nonetheless make something enjoyable and with massive replayability.Pros:Overall, a fun and interesting game in an area that is new for Paradox. Wide variety of flavour and gameplay possibilities-Endgame events keep things interesting-A clear appreciation for past sci-fi worksCons:-Performance issues past about 2350-AI can sometimes be poor-I felt that flavour was concentrated around exploration and there could be much more for things like internal politics, personalities, alien interaction, etc.-DLC policy (do not buy full price)

Excellent game, it has roguelike elements, but uses them to make things actually fun.
