Edit : I am 90+ hrs into HD2. This game is actually a Secret Early Access game.

Every patch adds a multitude of new bugs and glitches/crashes that probably won't be fixed for a month following our videos/media posts/bug reports. Nothing is play-tested before content is launched. I discover 10 new bugs/glitches every day playing this disasterpiece. Underneath the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is a very fun game that has it's moments, but for every fun experience there's 10 more dumb-ass-♥♥♥♥ experiences to ruin the fun.

TLDR : Imagine the game is like ranked matches of your favorite competitive shooter/MOBA but you only win 1 out of every 10 games played.

Cheater ridden hot garbage that is jank to the core. You'd think destructible environments would be cool until a piece of concrete falls in front of your crosshair while you're stealing a cash box and cancels it. Or building falls on top of someone stealing and flattens their hitbox so you can't shoot them under it so they get a guaranteed steal. Game got tons of environment bugs. Too many for my taste. Triple light team glitch cash box under the floor so they can turn a match into call of duty TDM? Yeah this game has it. Also climbing is so damn clunky and physics needs serious optimizations.

There's no balance among classes and ♥♥♥♥ that doesn't make sense in a competitive scene exist, like both on-body and off-body shields on the heavy class at the same time which forces you into melee even unless you have a gas or pyro grenade. This class is already the highest HP and defense and they can just shield after a shootout they lost and reset if you can't close a gap. The light class is used ironically by players that think they're amazing. It has the smallest hitbox and is the fastest class sporting a gadget called the stungun (which almost immobilizes you and only allows you to shoot your gun) and invisibility as a skill... So basically a tiny guy running super fast that's hard to hit that can go invisible and disable you, the most noob kit you could have in a shooter game hands down.

As for the cheating, apparently there's a bug that lets you completely bypass Easy Anti-Cheat (Which is already a trash anti-cheat) allowing you to freely use whatever hacks or cheats available completely free of consequences. You can see people aimbotting and wallhacking regularly in all game types, making this the steamiest piece of ♥♥♥♥ in the competitive FPS scene.

I don't even know if I want to continue playing this even after they fix what needs to be fixed. We'll see what happens.

I like this game. I have supported the company by purchasing 3 copies for me and my 2 friends to enjoy.

Gun-play is exceptional, as is sound. Feels good to play as a tactical horror shooter.

I want to like this game more but during a multiplayer match the friends connected to me had excessive crashing in the Server Room area, as we were collecting classified documents and downloading data to drives. It was basically non-stop crashing for them, bad enough to where I had to push past that entire area before they rejoined. Everything was okay after that. Something is definitely going on in that area which is causing major crashes.

After more play testing of different modes we've discovered more crashing and bugs were you'd be unable to select weapons or have an active cursor. Sometimes not being able to access any options what-so-ever resulting in a hard crash. These are issues that absolutely need to be fixed ASAP. Fix the crashing and some of the animations/textures and this game would be an amazing Alpha experience.

One of the best management simulations with a rich story. If you like SCP related games you'll love this game. Lobotomy Corp. also builds the foundation and atmosphere for ProjectMoon's other titles, Library of Ruina and Limbus Company. ProjectMoon goes HAM on the lore aspects and soundtrack of the game.

Content advisory. This game touches on many dark themes and topics such as suicide/murder/drug use.

Pros :

The world ProjectMoon has created with it's 3 games is nothing short of incredible. Multiple story arcs and endings give Lobotomy Corporation good replay value. Well worth the $8.50 USD sale price.

The OST for this game is an absolute banger. Whether or not your little homies are getting eviscerated or you're watching a dialogue intermission about how one of your empathetic decisions caused the massacre of everyone in an entire sector, the music does an amazing job at setting the tone.

Create your little guys and try to keep them alive... I promise you, you wont. But then again, you can always restart the day... Or turn back time... In a world where nothing is seemingly impossible due to monsters(Abnormalities) born from the sins of mankind, you're always within arm's length of a different possible outcome. However, the price is almost always too great.

The monster management is fun and pretty unique. Every abnormality has it's do's and don't's. One of them likes peeking out from a keyhole and is a little shy. If you watch him, he'll breach and turn your employees into a bloody mist with his sawblades. But if you pan the camera away so he's off-screen he's completely docile. Each new subject is rather fascinating in it's own unique way.

Strategy is key with management and suppression tactics. The E.G.O equipment researched from abnormalities acts as sort-of a rock-paper-scissors mechanic to exploit weaknesses as well as protecting your "little guys." More sectors opens up more perks for employees and containment cells for abnormalities. After later sectors open you'll have access to direct intervention via "bullets" you can shoot employees and abnormalities with which can buff, heal, or kill. Then there's the Rabbit Protocol... for when the big F-U is neccesary.

Check out the Manga, Wonder Lab, which ties into the lore of Lob Corp. Trust me they go hard on the lore and this manga is pretty damn good.

Also check out the [ Limbus Company ] Official Promotion Video. The OST track from Mili - In Hell we Live, Lament Feat. Kihow from Myth and Roid goes hard.

Oh yeah... The Cons : You goan' die.

TLDR : Yes. 9.5/10

Early Access Review
Edit : As of the recent patch in the last few days (23 + 24th of June 2024) I have decided to change my review from a negative to a positive as the 3gb content drop/patch has seemed to fix MOST of the problems with the game. They've added an impressive amount to the game (new map new weakpoint system new graphics and fidelity overhaul and a really cool body and blood system) that has VASTLY improved performance and immersion.

I really like what they've done and it's a great step forward in the right direction of development.

The things I would really like to see from the game is a little more spiciness to the bug spawns and improvements on their quirky operation "mutators" that mostly modify the map spawns.

Bottom Line: Game is actually fun now and runs well. Play it.

Pros:

Game is decent. Nice kits. Big weapon go boom.

Holdouts are like Duck Hunt but the ducks are hunting you instead.

Cons:

Splash damage is laughable. Explosive damage is even more laughable.

Enemies are bullet sponges. Enemies spawn and run in single file to their death like lemmings.

Last mission is literally a haunted house. Was prepared for battle but what I got was a big joke.

Pros :

Intense and hilarious world boss interactions.

Both terrible and at the same time amazing explosions and physics.

Blow up Spot the Robot Dog and other Tesla creations.

Awkward dialogue. Funny Swedish hieroglyphics, Live Laugh Love Lichkka Djikka Bjorken.

Cons :

Too much looting/scavenging. Way more than Fallout 3/4.

Enemy respawning and grouping just blows. Battles can take forever and drain you of ammo/medkits/adrenaline shots.
