That's definitely a proof of concept or a solid pre-alpha version of the game disguised as a finished product. Everything is pretty raw and bare-bones. The visuals are pretty terrible, the performance is abysmal, and yet the core gameplay is pretty fun.

The devs stated that they won't update the current game and going to focus their effort on the next title which hopefully will be a more fleshed-out experience. But it's hard being mad at the devs since the game is cheap and pretty fun to play. And I am a sucker for the stoppages mechanic.

The best puzzle game there is.

The game shines in props and character design, but fails at everything else. No timer for levels, you can get stuck being dead for half an hour when your poor last survivor from a group tires to complete the mission. Dying is too punishing (you respawn with 1 hp), sound design is nonexistent, you can't hear the enemies. Also you can't choose the difficulty and you have to start over from easy levels every time. A chore to play. Hard pass.

Graphics aside (or frankly the lighting system) the game fails to deliver on every other front. Gunplay seems weightless because there is no visual or camera recoil. Reload animations are marginally better than the OG HL2 released 20 years ago. There is no audio or visual cue to let you know that the damn headcrab is finally dead so you can now stop shooting at its fluffy corpse. And you absolutely cannot see anything when you fire your gravity gun because of the size of particles.

As someone's passion project and exercise in UE5 features might be ok for a future job hunt. But as a vertical slice of the game, it doesn't look promising at all.

Highly recommended. Great movement, fun gunplay, amazing style.

The most fun I had with a movement FPS since DOOM 2016.

P.S. Hats off to the FX guy(s). All the particles effects look amazing.

Ah, a new game from Tom Francis has dropped. After finishing it, I guess I have to replay the Gunpoint again!

Maybe that doesn't matter. Maybe all that matters is... that I now have the ability to kick down doors.

Bloody hell, what a characters, what a story. Brilliant stuff.

Not bad.

PBR shading and Lumen do not make a good game. Exciting for the first 15 minutes or so until you realize there isn't any gameplay inside.

Lots of sweat, swearing and fun.
