This game does so much right. The feel of the world is amazing. The gun play is by far the best of any video game. The gun play is combined with intensity. Every fight has value to you because of the survival aspects of the game. The mechanics of the game are simple, but have so much depth at the same time. It allows you to get a lot of replayability. At the time of writing this I have 2100 hours, and Rust PTSD. I close my eyes and see muzzle flashes.

Your server choice will effect your game experience the most. If you want to roleplay find a roleplay server. If you want a survival pvp game but aren't confident in your skill or are new play servers with < 50ish people. When you think you can survive play an official server, or a high pop modded server. Servers are how you choose your difficulty and gamemode.

The game is in an AK meta. If you can shoot an AK better than the majority of players you will find glory. Combine it with skill in other game mechanics and you will have a fantastic time playing this game. When you become a PvP Chad avoid the cheaters and f7 report. When you become a PvP god kill the cheaters and f7 report. There is a cheat problem in this game. It is contantly becoming smaller and smaller. You will run into a few recoil scripters in the game, but for every recoil scripter there is at least 30 real people that can do the same thing as the cheater. When you first start off you will realize that a lot of people are really good at this game. Watch what they do and learn from them. Fight them on the PvP servers, Combat Tags, UKN, Operation War Games, Rusty Nation, Cosa Nostra, and several more.

Rust is such a great game that can kill your interest quickly because of some PvP Chad blowing a hole in your base and stealing all your juicy loot. Learn the way of the AK. Watch good Rust players on youtube and twitch. On Twitch you can watch their positioning more, and see their mistakes. Make friends. Practice on aim servers.
