its 2,99€, I see why people are complaining about but they didn't just do it to make an extra profit.
Probably done cause of Censorship laws in different countries,
wanting to avoid a higher Age rating as that influences Sales.
if they gave it out for free they would probably have to fight a few censorship laws in different countries, cause it might aswell be included in the base game.
so with a price tag on it they can say "its optional" and maybe even block the DLC in regions that might be Stricter with its laws.

But thats just a theory....a game theory.

Sooo. as someone who isn't a big time BR player i've tested Playerunknowns Battleground and wasn't fully happy. the framerate was a-s-s, the Server lagged (you shot someone and it didnt recognize, you pick stuff up and it takes 5 seconds to be actually in your inventory). So i quickly looked for an alternative til its out of its early bird stages and the devs fixed it a bit more.

So I thought about H1Z1 KOTK. I just saw some videos on it, read a lot of negative reviews (mostly of those people hyped for PlayerUnknowns Battleground) and people generally had a Split mind about H1Z1 KOTK as a BR game.
But i tell you, This game is way better to play at the moment (04.27) It runs with over 60 FPS, i didn't experience any lag and the customizations are fun, and add to the addictive-ness similar to CSGO skins.

As a player who mostly plays Competitive First Person Shooters for years and never really got into the Survival game business (except rust ) i can really recommend this game (H1Z1 KOTK) to anyone who is interested in Battle Royale games. I quickly found servers to play on with 140 people on it, got the hang of it quickly. Got to finally experience a battle royale without Lag, without HUGE FPS DROPS (as in Playerunknowns) and i'm definitely seeing myself playing this game for hours and hours.

if you're interested in Playerunknowns Battleground, you should definitely wait some weeks or maybe months, since its hardly playable (i had maybe 2-3 rounds where i really got to enjoy the game) and get this game instead. This game runs waaaaaaay smoother, Is fun! has pretty Graphics! and you will see yourself get addicted to it if you're into games like these.

Buy H1Z1 KOTK if you're into BR games. Or wait a few months til PUBG finally fixes its major FPS losses and Lags in their Servers or Netcode if you really want to play that.

I'm not picking sides in this H1Z1 KOTK vs PUBG War. I find both games appealing and i will defintely play both of them a lot. But for now H1Z1 KOTK is far more playable (=enjoyable) than its very hyped Competitor.
