This game is fantastic and so close to being one of favorite games of all time. It has many excellent qualities "held back" by several comparatively average aspects. For the first game of a new studio I'm absolutely impressed and eagerly await to see what they do next.

Honestly baffled how little popularity this game seems to have.
I'm guessing most of the players are spooked by the controls? They're a bit clunky but honestly after half an hour of gameplay I got used to it even on a keyboard.

Overall game is quite polished with a great art style, funny characters and interactions, and lots of things to unlocks and look forward to.

Only two complaints I have are that balance feels like a bit of an after thought with multiprojectile attacks + durability/damage gear being seemingly objectively better than everything else, and that there's no in game glossary.

Closest thing you'll find on PC to rocket slime.

One of the few games to legitimately suck me in in recent history. The gameplay was absolutely refreshing compared to many other monster collection games that seem to more or less one for one copy a lot from pokemon. The difficulty curve also felt absolutely phenomenal to me. Throughout the story I frequently felt like I was one or two bad decisions away from losing a battle yet rarely actually lost and almost never felt like I was forced into grinding to progress. Ironically, that might be one of my biggest criticisms about the end of the game. Although there's already enough content and polish to justify the current price of $18, once you beat the game there's little current reason to continue to try and optimize or improve your team. While there are infinitely scaling battles already in placed, which some find compelling, but without tangible meaningful milestones failed to capture my interest.

Definitely a must buy in my opinion if the monster collecting genre interests you and I anxiously look forward to seeing how the future patches improve upon what's already wonderfully present.

I've been pretty pleasantly surprised with this game. I've played a host of other aRPGs (POE, grim dawn, diablo 2 &3, torchlight, titan quest) but I think this one probably has the best combat and most inventive characters. The combat is actually a meaningful task rather than just kiting when underleveled and oneshotting things when over leveled. The game does clearly show its early access status in some aspects like inventory management and character talent trees, but their current status doesn't detract substantially from enjoyment of the game, and the obvious care and attention to combat and class abilities really shows. I will warn potential buyers that unlike other aRPGs where you usually tailor a build to your own personal playstyle, the characters and how they play are currently rather set in stone. The character diversity is pretty large, and each character I've tried so far has been a lot of fun to play, because it can take a while to unlock a new character if you don't find one that clicks immediately you might have a less enjoyable experience starting out.

Staple of the top down shooter rogue like genre. Must play for fans of nuclear throne, enter the gungeon, or anyone looking to try out the genre.

An absolutely fantastic game. Couldn't put it down. Would recommend to anyone who likes action rpg platformers. 10/10
