DEFINITION
"A classic is an outstanding example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality. The word can be an adjective (a classic car) or a noun (a classic of English literature). It denotes a particular quality in art, architecture, literature, design, technology, or other cultural artifacts. In commerce, products are named 'classic' to denote a long standing popular version or model, to distinguish it from a newer variety. Classic is used to describe many major, long-standing sporting events. Colloquially, an everyday occurrence (e.g. a joke or mishap) may be described as 'an absolute classic'."

CONTEXTUALISM
Classic Edition, to me, is a game that maintains quality over quantity to make a lasting impression. A game without recurring gimmicks to give you a false sense of accomplishment or an overall dissatisfying outcome. Examples: overwhelming amounts of collectibles without sufficient reward, repetitive one-trick-pony tasks, excessive grinding in order to make a game appear longer, tasks based on luck, a lack of challenge, overwhelming amounts of fetch quests, and insufficient risk/reward systems. Not to say that a lot of great games don't have elements such as these, but there is a clear difference in how they are presented.

Examples of what I would consider a gaming classic would offer a unique experience that cannot be found elsewhere even if some of its elements are borrowed. Following the uniqueness of the experience, it should also be driven by a vision of what it wants to be without becoming bloated. The game must have perfect pacing that doesn't become dull or waste your time. Clearly defined mechanics without hand-holding and throwing away mechanics that have been established earlier. Overall, the game must be fun and not only appeal to nostalgia, but those who would discover the game as the years go on.

CONCLUSION
Everything I have mentioned above is subjective. Games have their pros and cons, which are different for all people. Just because something doesn’t appeal to me does not mean it won’t appeal to someone else. Don't take anything that I am saying here too seriously, its just an opinion.

INSIGHT
I am a seeker of higher goals. I'm very kind, but shy, which makes me appear calm or brooding. Creative expression is something that I strive for and wish for people to full be represented. Desire for harmony in my environment tends to lead my choosing of close personal associations. Mentally I am quick and intuitive in recognizing the thoughts and feelings of others. When I have a strong desire to get to know people I learn to explore and embrace new things easily. I work hard each day at a job that I enjoy very much because of the importance of my decisions and the reasons why they are important. I am an avid listener of podcasts on current technology and other thought provoking information; Cracked, The Know, Polaris, CU Podcast, Rooster Teeth and many others. There is a lot of my time spent online with services such as IMVU, Steam, Blizzard, YouTube, Netflix, Nico Nico Douga, Crunchy Roll, Anime-Plus, Tokyo Otaku Mode, and many others. My friends would consider me semi-knowledgeable when it comes to most media, social behaviors, technology, and gaming. Life is one big project for me, and I've adapted this into a business-like approach to most everything that I do. I take one step at a time, to look at things from a realistic prospective. The fact that I focus so much on my ambitions sometimes gets in the way of other responsibilities. I can be pretty stubborn in the defense of my ambitions.
