Despite the valid criticisms this game has faced regarding private server hosting and poor optimization I am enjoying the game. Both issues need to be addressed if the game is to have any lasting presence but I am happy with this remaster just based on the game play. A lot of quality of life fixes have been implemented and with some serious refining I think it will be a worthy remake.

Overall I'm disappointed with where this game ended up. I wish we could revert this back to when we had classes and their respective weapons, I also miss having armor you had to find. They basically took out a lot of unique features that made the game what it was. Now you have general weapons with general classes that really don't change your game play. It's basically a fortnite rip off without those features(And building of course). The game was so unique to battle royales and that made it fun. Now you drop in find weapons and swap some abilites. They took out all orginiality with the most recent updates and the game will probably never be as good as it was a few months ago.

Having about 800 hours in the game I think it's time for a real review on it.
PROS:
-Solid gunplay
-Realistic feeling
-Looks nice if you have a okayish computer
-I mean the game literally redefined the BR genre of games

CONS:
-Bluehole or PUBG corp whichever they prefer is a money grabbing ♥♥♥♥ hole of a developer.
-For every content patch you get about 6 cosmetic patches
-And all the new cosmetics are pay to get

tl;dr- Games great company is not

Edit: The game is good in itself. Great premise and great delivery. In the begining the game was great. However in the last few months maybe a year the game is not improving and the bugs are becoming more and more expansive. More bugs with less bug fixes. Basically if you are a super competitive gamer don't play this game. There is too many stupid things to get mad about.

Started out as a time waster but I've already spent well over $20 on the game I enjoy it so much. The game has so much diversity with well over 1,000 catchable creatures. Also with 7 maps there is plenty of different enviroments that can be found. Overall the game has to be on the best downloads I have and I don't see myself getting bored of it any time soon. Aftet the first hour or so the game is pretty eventful and there are plenty of quests you can do to keep yourself occupied.

Honestly, nothing will ever come close to my begining experiences with Ark back when it was released. Even through the FPS issues and the bugs It was fantastic. Just the first experiences in the game are so breathtaking and it was so fun. Nothing beat hiding in a bush as a random person on a Rex passed well you were a little 20 with no tames. After that the game started to mellow out as everything became routine and I learned all about the game. One of the things that kept me hooked the entire time was how fast the updates came out and how hard they hit. Everytime a new set of dino's came out I was like a kid on Christmas. Something I realized about this game is it's so much more fun with a tribe. Playing by myself got very repetitive. After about ~20 hours on an Official server I joined up with a tribe and It became so much more fun. My friend and I joined a tribe of around 20 people and we were a very prominant tribe in the server. Of course back in those times (Maybe now as well, It's been a while since I've been on a official server) there was always that one huge Asian tribe that dominated everything. Broke up our tribes as half of us got tired of being flattened over and over and the other half stayed and grinded. Eventually we all split and we haven't talked since early 2016. After that my friends and I went to modded servers and that was so much fun, with new mods coming out about the same time the old ones got old. Now I mainly just play in groups of 2-5 now and again when people are willing to play but it's not often. Wish I could relive the same experiences as my first time playing but It's just not the same anymore. If you made it this far I love this game beyond words, It just gets very repetitve.
