One of a kind. Gather, Craft, Build, and Survive. Don't like PVP or toxicity? Try one of the 100s of PvE servers where the focus is building, trading, fighting NPCs, and community. There's also modded servers which add fun twists to the game.

I recommend playing on "Community" servers at a minimum versus Official as the admins are active and reduce toxicity, griefing, and hacking. Facepunch continues to add great features, items, maps, and quality of life improvements. 5 stars!!!

If you liked the original Ark at all (even with all the bugs) then Ark Survival Ascended (ASA) is totally worth playing. The game looks amazing in Unreal Engine 5 and they have added many S+ quality of life improvements to the base game.

Please keep in mind the game has bugs, just like the original Ark did since they just copied most of the code. However, Wildcard has been responsive and issuing patches every few days to address major issues and player feedback. For me, the game play and graphics easily outweigh any bugs I have encountered.

Lastly, I recommend playing on unofficial servers since the player base is less toxic, maps are not covered with foundation spam, and admins are responsive to player issues and griefing. I enjoy the ARKADE servers listed under the unofficial server tab.

I've been playing this game since launch and it's one of my favorite survival games. Extremely immersive with a great gathering, crafting, and hunting system.

They did have an issue recently when they changed the way player data was saved from only their servers to now being on your local PC causing the loss of some characters. However, at least we now we have full control over our character and game saves. Don't rely on the negative reviews ranting about this.

If you enjoy survival games, this is a must buy.

Glad I waited three years before playing this for the 1st time. The game is amazing and one I have been hoping for many years. If you enjoy gathering, building, crafting, trading, space, and sci-fi, this is the game for you. The developers continue to provide massive free updates. There are no DLCs to pay for or micro transactions. 9/10

Over 600 hours since I bought the game 6 weeks ago. I need help.

Very immersive and challenging. One of my favorite survival games.
